Tetra-?-chlorido-bis-(18-crown-6)platinum(II)dipotassium(I).

ABSTRACT: In the title compound, [K(2)PtCl(4)(C(12)H(24)O(6))(2)], the Pt(II) ion is located on an inversion centre and is coordinated by four Cl atoms, forming a square-planar geometry. The K(I) ion is coordinated by six O atoms of the crown ether and two bridging Cl atoms. The K(I) ion is displaced by 0.756?(2)?Å from the mean plane of the six O atoms of the crown ether. The mol-ecules are connected by weak C-H?O hydrogen bonds, forming an infinite two-dimensional network parallel to the (10) plane. Intra- and inter-molecular C-H?Cl hydrogen bonds are also observed.

In the title compound, [K(2)PtCl(4)(C(12)H(24)O(6))(2)], the Pt(II) ion is located on an inversion centre and is coordinated by four Cl atoms, forming a square-planar geometry. Project description:In the crystal of the title compound, (C4H12N)[FeCl4]·C12H24O6, the butan-1-aminium cation and the tetra-chloridoferrate(III) anion have m symmetry: in the cation, the non-H atoms are located on the mirror plane and in the anion, the Fe(III) atom and two Cl atoms are located on the mirror plane. The 18-crown-6 mol-ecule also has m symmetry, with two O atoms located on the mirror plane. The butan-1-amine cation and the 18-crown-6 mol-ecule are connected by N-H?O hydrogen bonds.

Project description:The crystal structure of the title compound, (C(6)H(16)N)(2)[CoCl(4)], is comprised of a tetrahedral [CoCl(4)](2-) anion and two independent triethyl-ammonium cations. The latter are featureless while the [CoCl(4)](2-) anion exhibits typical Co-Cl bond lengths [2.2428?(15)-2.2847?(16)?Å] and a Cl-Co-Cl angular range of 107.58?(6)-112.73?(7)°. In the crystal, N-H?Cl hydrogen bonds between the two crystallographically independent cations and the [CoCl(4)](2-) anion generate discrete ion triplets. The two Co-Cl bonds involved in these inter-actions are slightly longer than the remaining two.

Project description:The structure of the title compound, (C(19)H(18)N(3))(2)[CuCl(4)], consists of square-planar [CuCl(4)](2-) anions and triphenyl-guanidinium cations. The Cu(II) ion occupies a crystallographic inversion centre. In the cation, the dihedral angles between the phenyl rings and the plane defined by the central guanidinium fragment are in the range 51.9 (4)-64.4 (3)°. N-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds assemble the ions into infinite chains running along the b axis.

Project description:The structure of the title compound, (C(6)H(14)N)(2)[CuCl(4)], consists of two inequivalent 1-methyl-piperidinium cations and a flattened tetra-hedral [CuCl(4)](2-) anion. Each organic cation exhibits a chair conformation with the methyl group in the equatorial position. They are segregated into alternating layers parallel to (100) and stacked along [100]. The first cation is arranged in parallel stacks in a herringbone pattern with rows of [CuCl(4)](2-) anions fitting between the stacks and with a Cl(-) ion directed into the inter-ior of the layer. The second organic cation forms distorted hcp layers that separate the other organic cation/[CuCl(4)](2-) slabs. N-H?Cl hydrogen bonding between the cations and the anions consolidates the crystal packing.

Project description:In the title compound, (C(5)H(7)N(2))(2)[CoCl(4)], the cobalt(II) ion is coordinated by four chloride ions in a slightly distorted tetra-hedral geometry. The crystal packing is stabilized by inter-molecular N-H?Cl hydrogen bonding, forming a three-dimensional network. The crystal was a non-merohedral twin emulating tetra-gonal symmetry, but being in fact ortho-rhom-bic.
