ABSTRACT: The title compound, [Bi(C(8)H(18)PS(2))(3)], contains a Bi(III) cation surrounded by three bis-(2-methyl-prop-yl)dithio-phosphinate anions, leading to a distorted octa-hedral coordination for the heavy metal. The Bi-S and S-P bond lengths are in the ranges 2.7694?(18)-2.8391?(17) and 2.019?(2)-2.035?(2)?Å, respectively. The crystal structure is consolidated by C-H?S hydrogen bonds. Intra-molecular C-H?? inter-actions also play a role in stabilizing the mol-ecules.

The title compound, [Bi(C(8)H(18)PS(2))(3)], contains a Bi(III) cation surrounded by three bis-(2-methyl-prop-yl)dithio-phosphinate anions, leading to a distorted octa-hedral coordination for the heavy metal. Project description:The mol-ecular structure of the title compound, [Bi(2)(C(11)H(16)N)(4)(CO(3))], consists of a symmetrically bridging carbonato group which binds two [2-Et(2)NCH(2)C(6)H(4)](2)Bi units that are crystallographically related via a twofold rotation axis bis-ecting the carbonate group. The two Bi atoms and two of the C atoms directly bonded to bis-muth are quasi-planar [deviations of 0.323 (1) and 0.330 (9)Å for the Bi and C atoms, respectively] with the carbonate group. The remaining two ligands are in a trans arrangement relative to the quasi-planar (CBi)(2)CO(3) system. The metal atom is strongly coordinated by the N atom of one pendant arm [Bi-N = 2.739 (6) Å], almost trans to the O atom, while the N atom of the other pendant arm exhibits a weaker intra-molecular inter-action [Bi⋯N = 3.659 (7) Å] almost trans to a C atom. If both these intra-molecular N→Bi inter-actions per metal atom are considered, the overall coordination geometry at bis-muth becomes distorted square-pyramidal [(C,N)(2)BiO cores] and the compound can be described as a hypervalent 12-Bi-5 species. Additional quite short intra-molecular Bi⋯O inter-actions are also present [3.796 (8)-4.020 (9) Å]. Inter-molecular associations through weak η(6)⋯Bi inter-actions [Bi⋯centroid of benzene ring = 3.659 (1) Å] lead to a ribbon-like supra-molecular association.

Project description:The title compound, C26H42N4O2S2, adopts a shallow U-shape as both pendant arms of the 1,3-substituted benzene ring are orientated in the same direction. The thione S atoms lie to the same side of the benzene ring and the carbonyl O atoms to the other. The most prominent feature of the crystal packing is the formation of inversion dimers mediated by N-H?S hydrogen bonds. One of the 2-methyl-propyl groups is statistically disordered over two positions.

Project description:The title compound, [Ni(C(28)H(28)N(4))], crystallizes with two independent mol-ecules in the unit cell, one of which is located on an inversion center. Both macrocycles exhibit a planar conformation with average deviation from the least-squares-plane of the 24 macrocycle atoms of Δ24 = 0.043 Å for the first mol-ecule and 0.026 Å for the mol-ecule located on an inversion center. The average Ni-N bond lengths are 1.955 (2) and 1.956 (2) Å in the two mol-ecules. The mol-ecules form π-π dimers of inter-mediary strength with a mean plane separation of 3.36 (2) Å.

Project description:The crystal structure of title compound, [Yb(NO(3))(3)(C(15)H(15)NO(2))(2)]·H(2)O, contains two Schiff base 2-[(4-methyl-phen-yl)imino-meth-yl]-6-methoxy-phenol (HL) ligands, three independent nitrate ions that chelate to the ytterbium(III) ion in an O,O'-bidentate manner and an uncoordinated water mol-ecule. The coordination number of the Yb(III) ion is eight. The HL ligands chelate with a strong Yb-O(phenolate) bond and a weak Yb-O(meth-oxy) contact. The latter augments the coordination polyhedron to give a YbO(10) bicapped square antiprism. Classical inter-molecular O-H?O and N-H?O hydrogen bonds as well as weak C-H?O contacts contribute to the stability of the structure.

Project description:In the title compound, [Pb(C14H14O2PS2)2] n , the metal atom is surrounded by two O,O'-bis-(2-methyl-phen-yl) dithio-phosphate ligands bonding through the S-donor atoms. Three of the Pb-S bond lengths are are close to each other at 2.7710?(18), 2.8104?(16) and 2.8205?(16)?Å, while the fourth Pb-S bond is elongated at 3.0910?(18)?Å and reflects the fact that this atom is involved in inter-molecular bridging to an adjacent Pb(II) atom [Pb-S = 3.145?(2)?Å]. The bond angles demonstrate that the Pb(II) atom contains a stereochemically active lone pair with a distorted octa-hedral geometry about the Pb(II) atom. This distortion is shown by the S-Pb-S bite angles of 73.63?(4) and 69.50?(4)°, while the remaining S-Pb-S angles range from 81.03?(5) to 143.66?(5)°. One of the benzene rings shows positional disorder over two orientations with occupancy factors of 0.747?(11) and 0.253?(11).

Project description:In the title compound, C(15)H(12)S(4), two phenyl-dithio-carboxyl-ate units are linked through a methyl-ene C atom on a twofold rotation axis. The central S-CH(2)-S angle of 116.9 (5)° is significantly larger than the ideal tetra-hedral value. The dihedral angle formed by the two phenyl rings is 68.2 (1)°. The refined Flack parameter of 0.2 (3) does not permit unambiguous determination of the absolute structure.
