ABSTRACT: In the title complex, K(2)[Co(CH(4)O(6)P(2))(2)(H(2)O)(2)], the asymmetric unit contains two K(+) cations and two half-anions in which the Co atoms lie on inversion centers. The Co(II) ions assume an octa-hedral CoO(6) coordination geometry. In the crystal, a three-dimensional network is formed through O-H?O hydrogen-bond inter-actions as well as inter-molecular inter-actions between the K(+) cations and neighbouring O atoms.

Project description:In the title compound, Na(2)[Co(CH(4)O(6)P(2))(2)(H(2)O)(2)]·2H(2)O, the asymmetric unit is composed of one methyl-enediphospho-nate ligand and one water mol-ecule, which both are coordinated to a Co(II) atom, as well as a non-coordinated water mol-ecule and a sodium cation. The Co(II) atom occupies a special position on a crystallographic inversion centre. The slightly distorted Co(II)O(6) octa-hedral coordination environment is composed of two bidentate methyl-enediphospho-nate ligands and two coordinated water mol-ecules in trans positions. The sodium ion is octa-hedrally coordinated to six O atoms with Na-O distances ranging from 2.3149?(12) to 2.6243?(12)?Å. An extensive three-dimensional network of inter-molecular as well as intra-molecular O-H?O and C-H?O hydrogen bonding inter-acions is present.

The dihydrogendiphosphate groups present a bent eclipsed conformation, while the Co(2+) ions lie on inversion centers. An intricate network of O-H?O and N-H?O hydrogen bonds is established between the different components, assuring the cohesion of the network with other inter-actions, being of electrostatic and van der Waals nature.

Project description:In the title diaqua-cobalt complex, [Co(C(8)H(11)NO(5)PS)(2)(H(2)O)(2)], the Co(II) atom is surrounded by six O atoms belonging to the phosphoryl and sulfonyl groups of two deprotonated chelate ligands and two additional O atoms from water mol-ecules which are in cis positions with respect to one another. The coordination environment of cobalt can be described as a distorted octa-hedron. O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds between the water and sulfonyl O atoms of neighboring mol-ecules form chains running parallel to [010]. Project description:The central Sn(IV) atom of the penta-nuclear title complex, {[Sn(CH(3))(3)](3)O(2)C(CH(2))PO(3)[Sn(CH(3))(3)(H(2)O)](2)HO(2)C(CH(2))PO(3)}, is located on a twofold rotation axis; due to symmetry, the H atom of the carboxyl group of the anion is disordered with a site occupancy of 0.5. The central Sn(IV) atom is bonded to three methyl groups (one of which is disordered about the twofold rotation axis) and is symmetrically trans coordinated by two phospho-nate groups with Sn-O = 2.2665?(12)?Å while the other SnMe(3) residues are asymmetrically trans coordinated with Sn-O = 2.1587?(12) and 2.3756?(13)?Å for one residue and Sn-O = 2.1522?(12) and 2.4335?(12)?Å for the other; the Sn-O distances involving two O atoms trans to carboxyl-ate are longer than those trans to phospho-nate groups. The Sn-C distances lie in a very narrow range [2.112?(2)-2.133?(3)?Å]. The oxyanion behaves as a tetra-coordinating ligand. The bridging mode of the latter leads to the formation of layers parallel to (001) that are inter-connected by O-H?O and C-H?O hydrogen bonds.

Project description:The title compound, (C(6)H(9)N(2))(2)[Co(C(6)H(2)N(2)O(4))(2)(H(2)O)(2)]·8H(2)O, was obtained by the reaction of CoCl(2)·6H(2)O with 1,4-pyrazine-2,3-dicarb-oxy-lic acid and 2-amino-6-methyl-pyridine in aqueous solution (molar ratio 1:2:2). The Co(II) ion is situated on an inversion centre and is coordinated by two O and two N atoms of two symmetry-related 1,4-pyrazine-2,3-dicarboxyl-ate ligands and two water mol-ecules and has a disorted octa-hedral coordination environment. The asymmetric unit also contains four water mol-ecules. In the crystal, extensive inter-molecular classical N-H⋯O, O-H⋯O and O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds and π-π stacking inter-actions [centroid-centroid distance = 3.490 (1) Å] connect the various components, forming a three-dimensional network.
