ABSTRACT: In the centrosymmetric title compound, C(17)H(11)N(3)O(2), the dihedral angle between the central and pendant pyridyl rings is 50.29?(9)°. In the crystal, mol-ecules stack along the a axis by ?-? inter-actions between the pyridine rings with centroid-centroid distances of 3.845?(2)?Å. The N atom and one of the C atoms of the central ring are disordered by symmetry.

The two distinct Cu(I) centres both adopt distorted CuNCl(3) tetra-hedral coordinations. Individual [Cu(2)Cl(2)(3,4'-dpk)](n) layers stack in an AB pattern along the c direction by way of weak C-H⋯O inter-actions between the pyridyl rings and ketone O atoms.

Project description:The Mn(III) atom in the title complex, [Mn(C(11)H(10)N(3)O)(2)]NO(3), is coordinated by the two tridentate (2-pyrid-yl)(2-pyridyl-amino)-methano-late ligands, forming a six-coordinate environment. The four pyridyl N atoms constitute the equatorial plane on which the manganese(III) ion lies; the coordination plane suffers a slight distortion as indicated by the average plane deviation of 0.058?Å. The methano-late O atoms occupy the axial positions. The coordination geometry is thus octa-hedral. In the title compound, the cations are linked by nitrate anions via N-H?O hydrogen bonds to form one-dimensional chains. Moreover, the one-dimensional structure is stabilized by inter-molecular edge-to-face aromatic ?-? inter-actions with a center-of-inversion at a distance of ca 4.634?Å.

Project description:In the title compound, C(40)H(44)O(3), the fluorene ring system is essentially planar, with a maximum deviation of 0.075 (3) Å, and forms dihedral angles of 70.62 (8) and 70.31 (8)° with the mean planes of the central benzene ring and the meth-oxy-phenyl ring, respectively. Both the hexyl side chains have different conformations, i.e. an anti-gauche-anti-gauche conformation with C-C-C-C torsion angles of -169.3 (2), 74.2 (4), -178.0 (3) and -76.0 (6)° for one hexyl side chain and an anti-anti-anti-gauche conformation with C-C-C-C torsion angles of -177.9 (2), -176.5 (3), 171.7 (4) and 80.4 (9)° for the other. Project description:In the title complex, [CuCl(2)(C(17)H(11)N(3)O(2))(2)], the Cu(II) ion is located on an inversion center. It exhibits a distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry defined by two chloride anions at trans sites and four 3-pyridyl N atoms at equatorial sites from two (6-nicotinoyl-2-pyrid-yl)(3-pyrid-yl)methanone ligands. The (6-nicotinoyl-2-pyrid-yl)(3-pyrid-yl)methanone ligand can be viewed as having two pendant 3-pyridyl rings attached to a central pyridyl skeleton via separate carbonyl bridges, acting in a κ(2)N,N'-chelating mode with its 3-pyridyl N atoms bound to the Cu(II) ion. The pendant 3-pyridyl rings make a dihedral angle of 80.76 (5)°. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked through inter-molecular C-H⋯π and C-H⋯O inter-actions, forming a three-dimentional framework.
