ABSTRACT: The title compound, C(10)H(11)Cl(2)N(3)S, was prepared by the reaction of 4-ethyl-thio-semicarbazide and 2,4-dichloro-benzaldehyde. It is approximately planar, the dihedral angle between the benzene ring and the thio-urea unit being 8.43?(18)°. In the crystal, inversion dimers linked by pairs of N-H?S hydrogen bonds generate R(2) (2)(8) loops.
