In the crystal structure, anions and cations are linked into a three-dimensional network via inter-molecular N-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds.

Project description:In the title salt, C(6)H(8)N(4)S(2) (2+)·2C(7)H(4)NO(4) (-), the diprotonated diamino-bithia-zole dication is located on an inversion center. The carboxyl-ate group of the anion is twisted with respect to the benzene ring, with a dihedral angle of 13.6 (4)°. N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds involving the amino and ammonium groups of the dication and the carboxyl-ate functionality of the anion generate supra-molecular chains in the crystal.

Project description:The title compound, (C(19)H(15)N(4))(2)[Co(NCS)(4)], has two crystallographycally different molecules of bis-(2,3,5-triphenyl-tetra-zolium) tetra-thio-cyanatecobaltate in the asymmetric unit. There are only minor geometric differences between them. Each cobalt(II) ion is coordinated by the N atoms of four NCS anions, showing the magnitude of the magnetic moment expected from the NCS(-) crystal field strength.

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title ionic compound (C(7)H(6)NS)[AuCl(4)]·C(4)H(8)O, the [AuCl(4)](-) anion shows a typical square-planar geometry. Numerous weak C-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds between [AuCl(4)](-) and the 1,3-benzothia-zolium units form layers comprised of 24-membered rings in which hydrogen-bonded tetra-hydro-furan (THF) solvent mol-ecules are accommodated. C-H⋯Cl inter-actions between THF and [AuCl(4)](-) from adjacent layers result in bilayers. These are further stabilized by π-π inter-actions between the thia-zole and benzene rings [centroid-centroid distance = 3.971 (3) Å], resulting in the formation of a three-dimensional supra-molecular assembly.

Project description:In the title compound, C(14)H(8)Br(2)N(2)O(2), the mol-ecular structure features intra-molecular N-H⋯O [2.639 (2) Å and 130°] and N-H⋯Br [3.053 (2) Å and 114°] hydrogen bonding. Due to inversion symmetry, the asymmetric part of the unit cell consits of one half-mol-ecule. In the crystal, inversion dimers linked by pairs of N-H⋯O [2.955 (2) Å and 135°] hydrogen bonds occur. 3,5-Diphenyl-1,2,4-dithia-zolium tetra-bromidoferrate(III).

Project description:The cation of the title salt, (C(14)H(10)NS(2))[FeBr(4)], contains a flat central NC(2)S(2) ring (r.m.s. deviation = 0.005 Å), with two attached phenyl rings that are almost coplanar [the dihedral angles between the mean planes are 2.4 (1) and 7.7 (1)° for the two phenyl rings]. The [FeBr(4)](-) anion makes short Br⋯S contacts [Br⋯S = 3.4819 (8), 3.6327 (9) and 3.5925 (9) Å] and also bridges by way of short contacts to ring H atoms of a second cation held parallel to the first by π-stacking, with a separation between the mean 1,2,4-dithia-zolium rings of 3.409 Å. The closest contacts are between a phenyl ring centroid of one cation and the ipso C atom of the phenyl ring of another cation, for which the distance is 3.489 Å. The discrete dimers are linked laterally by further Br⋯H short contacts, resulting in double sheets located parallel to the b axis and to the bis-ector of a and c.

Project description:In the title compound, 4C(5)H(8)N(3) (+)·2C(8)H(4)O(4) (2-)·C(5)H(7)N(3), the asymmetric unit consists of two protonated diamino-pyridine cations, one phthalate anion and one half of a diamino-pyridine mol-ecule, which has twofold rotation symmetry and is disordered over two positions with a site-occupancy ratio of 0.534 (3):0.466 (3). In the disordered structure, both pyridine rings are essentially planar, with maximum deviations of 0.011 (2) and 0.006 (2) Å, and these two rings are inclined to one another at a dihedral angle of 79.86 (10)°. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular N-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the ions and mol-ecules into a three-dimensional network. The structure is further stabilized by C-H⋯π inter-actions.

Project description:The title compound, (C21H20OP)(C19H15N4)[CuCl4], was obtained by reacting CuCl2·2H2O with a mixture of one equivalent of acetonyltri-phenyl-phospho-nium chloride and one equivalent of 2,3,5-tri-phenyl-tetra-zolium chloride in aceto-nitrile. In the structure, the Cu centre in the dianion is bonded to four chloride ligands and adopts a distorted tetra-hedral geometry. The phospho-nium cation likewise adopts the expected tetra-hedral geometry. The tetra-zolium ring forms dihedral angles of 77.68 (10), 26.85 (11) and 66.48 (10)° with the planes of the benzene rings of the substituent groups. In the crystal, weak C-H⋯Cl hydrogen-bonding inter-actions involving both cations and the anion give rise to a three-dimensional supra-molecular structure.

In the crystal structure, there are significant π-π stacking inter-actions, with a centroid-centroid separation of 3.575 (2) Å. In addition, inter-molecular O-H⋯O, N-H⋯O, N-H⋯N and O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds link 2,3-diamino-phenazine mol-ecules and water mol-ecules, forming a three-dimensional framework.

The guanidinium ions are located in between the ribbons formed by Z-DAMN mol-ecules and chloride ions.
