ABSTRACT: In the title compound, C(15)H(16)N(2)O(6)S(2), the dihedral angle between the benzene rings is 83.2 (3)°. The mol-ecular conformation is stabilized by an intra-molecular C-H⋯O inter-action. In the crystal structure, mol-ecules are linked by N-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds and additional stabilization is provided by weak C-H⋯π inter-actions.

Project description:In the title compound, C(14)H(13)ClN(2)O(5)S(2), the dihedral angles between the central benzene ring and the pendant chloro-benzene ring and the N-acetyl group are 82.35 (5) and 79.71 (6)°, respectively, and the overall conformation of the mol-ecule approximates to a U shape. Both the C-S-N-C conformations are gauche, but with opposite senses [torsion angles = -59.29 (15) and 63.68 (16)°]. An intra-molecular C-H⋯O inter-action generates an S(6) ring. In the crystal, inversion dimers linked by pairs of N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds generate R(2) (2)(20) loops. A second N-H⋯O hydrogen bond links the dimers into (101) layers.

Project description:In the asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(15)H(16)N(2)O(5)S(2), there are two symmetry-independent mol-ecules which adopt similar conformations, with dihedral angles between the aromatic rings of 59.30 (8) and 61.81 (8)°, and dihedral angles between acetamide group and the benzene ring of 77.08 (10) and 78.40 (10)°. Each type of mol-ecule forms similar one-dimensional polymeric structures extending along the b axis via N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. These hydrogen bonds generate two types of centrosymmetric motifs, R(2) (2)(8) and R(2) (2)(20). Moreover C-H⋯O inter-actions assemble the mol-ecules into a three-dimensional framework. The crystal structure was determined from a non-merohedral twin [ratio of the twin components = 0.322 (4):0.678 (4)].

Project description:In the title compound, C(15)H(16)N(2)O(4)S, the S atom has a distorted tetra-hedral geometry [maximum deviation: O-S-O = 118.25 (7)°]. The two aromatic rings make a dihedral angle of 62.67 (10)° with each other. An intra-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bond forms an S(6) ring motif. In the crystal, mol-ecules form centrosymmetric dimers via pairwise N-H⋯O inter-actions, forming an R(2) (2)(8) ring motif, and these dimers are connected by N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, generating a three-dimensional network. Furthermore, a weak C-H⋯π inter-action helps to reinforce the crystal structure. The O atom in the acetamide group is disordered over two positions with major and minor occupancies of 0.52 (5) and 0.48 (5), respectively.

The sulfonyl-bound phenyl ring forms dihedral angles of 41.1?(1) and 83.3?(1)°, respectively, with the formyl-phenyl and phenyl rings. The dihedral angle between formyl-phenyl and phenyl rings is 47.6?(1)°. The crystal packing features C-H?O hydrogen-bond inter-actions.
