ABSTRACT: In the title mol-ecule, C(27)H(32)O(2), the aromatic rings are in a propeller configuration. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked through O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds forming a two-dimensional network which develops parallel to (010). Futhermore, weak C-H⋯π inter-actions involving the two substituted rings build up a three-dimensional network.

Project description:The imidazolidine ring in the title compound, C(19)H(24)N(2)O(2), adopts a twist conformation and its mean plane (r.m.s. deviation = 0.19?Å) makes dihedral angles of 72.38?(9) and 71.64?(9)° with the two pendant aromatic rings. The dihedral angle between the phenyl rings is 55.94?(8)°. The mol-ecular structure shows the presence of two intra-molecular O-H?N hydrogen bonds between the phenolic hydroxyl groups and N atoms with graph-set motif S(6). In the crystal, C-H?O hydrogen bonds lead to the formation of chains along the b-axis direction.

Project description:In the title Schiff base, C(22)H(20)N(2)O(2), the benzene ring forms dihedral angles of 53.92 (1) and 3.62 (1)° with the two salicylaldimine groups. There are two strong O-H⋯N intra-molecular hydrogen bonds. The crystal packing is stabilized by weak inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds and π-π stacking inter-actions (average distance 3.39 Å).

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C23H30N2O2, contains one half-mol-ecule, with a twofold axis splitting the mol-ecule in two identical halves. The structure of the racemic mixture has been reported previously [Rivera et al. (2009 ▶) J. Chem. Crystallogr. 39, 827-830] but the enanti-omer reported here crystallized in the ortho-rhom-bic space group P21212 (Z = 2), whereas the racemate occurs in the triclinic space group P-1 (Z = 2). The observed mol-ecular conformation is stabilized by two intra-molecular O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds, which generate rings with graph-set motif S(6). In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked via non-classical C-H⋯O inter-actions, which stack the mol-ecules along the b axis.

Project description:The methyl-substituted imidazolidine ring of the title compound, C24H26N2O2, adopts an envelope conformation with the N atom adjacent to the methyl-ene group as the flap. The meth-yl-ethyl-ene fragment in this ring is disordered over two positions with an occupancy ratio of 0.899?(4):0.101?(4). The hy-droxy-benzyl groups are inclined at 71.57?(15) and 69.97?(19)° to the mean plane of major disorder component of the heterocyclic ring with an inter-planar angle between the two hy-droxy-benzyl groups of 66.00?(5)°. The phenyl substit-uent approaches a nearly perpendicular orientation relative to the mean plane of the imidazolidine ring, making a dihedral angle of 75.60?(12)°. This conformation is stabilized by two intra-molecular O-H?N bonds, which generate S(6) ring motifs.

Project description:The crystal of the title Schiff base compound, C(19)H(20)Cl(2)N(2)O(2), contains of two crystallographically independent mol-ecules with similar conformations. In each mol-ecule, two intramolecular O-H⋯N bonds generate S(6) motifs. The N atoms are also in close proximity to two H atoms of the dimethyl-propane groups, with H⋯N distances between 2.59 and 2.62 Å. The imine group is coplanar with the benzene ring. The dihedral angles between the benzene rings in the two independent mol-ecules are 58.20 (12) and 47.95 (12)°. The structure displays short inter-molecular Cl⋯Cl [3.3869 (11) Å] and Cl⋯O [3.175 (2)-3.204 (2) Å] inter-actions. The crystal structure is further stabilized by weak inter-molecular C-H⋯O, C-H⋯π and π-π [centroid-centroid distances 3.6416 (13)-3.8705 (14) Å] inter-actions.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title Schiff base compound, C(21)H(26)N(2)O(4), consists of four crystallographically independent mol-ecules, viz. A, B, C and D. The A and D, and the B and C mol-ecules are related by a pseudo-inversion centre, and the remaining pairs of mol-ecules differ in the orientations of one of the meth-oxy groups. In each independent mol-ecule, intra-molecular O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds generate two S(6) ring motifs. The dihedral angles between the benzene rings in mol-ecules A, B, C and D are 65.86 (19), 50.41 (19), 68.59 (19) and 50.85 (19)°, respectively. In the crystal structure, mol-ecules are linked by C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming R(2) (2)(8) dimers. In addition, weak C-H⋯π inter-actions are observed.
