ABSTRACT: In the crystal of the title compound, C(22)H(22)N(8)O(3), the dicarbohydrazide mol-ecules are linked into a chain along [010] by C-H?N inter-actions involving the pyridyl N atoms and aromatic C-H groups. The DMF mol-ecule is hydrogen bonded with the amide N-H via N-H?O inter-actions. C-H?O inter-actions also occur.

In the crystal structure, the picrate anions and solvent dimethyl-formamide (DMF) mol-ecules are connected to the cation via inter-molecular N-H?O hydrogen bonds. Further stabilization is provided by weak inter-molecular C-H?O hydrogen bonds. One of the DMF moleclues is disordered over two sites with refined occupancies of 0.737?(3) and 0.263?(3).

Project description:The mol-ecular structure of the pyridine derivative, C19H15N3O4·C3H7NO, shows almost planar geometry with dihedral angles of 6.9?(1) and 13.4?(1)° between the pyridine ring and the two benzene rings. This conformation is stabilized by two intra-molecular N-H?N(pyridine) bonds. In the crystal, strong O-H?O(carboxamide) and N-H?O(hy-droxy-phen-yl) hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules, forming a three-dimensional structure. The di-methyl-formamide solvent mol-ecules are not involved in the hydrogen bonding. The structure shows pseudosymmetry, but refinement in the space group Pbcn leads to significantly worse results and a disordered di-methyl-formamide mol-ecule.

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title coordination polymer, {[Zn(2)(C(17)H(8)O(10))(C(3)H(7)NO)(2)]·C(3)H(7)NO}(n), the mol-ecular build-ing block (MBB), viz. {Zn(2)(CO(2))(4)(C(3)H(7)NO)(2)}, comprises two zinc atoms, each bridged by three carboxyl-ate groups. These two Zn atoms exhibit different coordination environments: a distorted coordination intermediate between trigonal-pyramidal, and square-pyramidal formed by the two coordinated dimethyl-formamide mol-ecules and three carboxylate groups, and a distorted tetra-hedral coordination defined by carboxy-late groups of which three are bidentate bridging and the fourth is a monodentate ligand. Thus, each ligand connects four MBBs, forming the three-dimensional polymer.

Weak intra-molecular C-H?O and C-H?N inter-actions help to stabilize the mol-ecular structure. In the crystal, the lattice water mol-ecule links with the Ni(II) complex and dimethyl-formamide solvent mol-ecule via O-H?O hydrogen bonding.

Project description:The title compound, (C(10)H(10)NO)(2)[Cu(C(7)H(3)NO(4))(2)]·CH(3)OH·H(2)O was prepared by the reaction of copper(II) nitrate hexa-hydrate, 8-hy-droxy-2-methyl-quinoline, and pyridine-2,6-dicarb-oxy-lic acid in a 1:2:2 molar ratio in an aqueous solution. The geometry of the resulting CuN(2)O(4) coordination can be described as distorted octa-hedral. In the crystal, there are several inter-molecular O-H?O, N-H?O and C-H?O hydrogen bonds. An intra-molecular N-H?O hydrogen bond occurs in one of the cations. Considerable ?-? stacking inter-actions are also observed between the aromatic rings of the cations, with centroid-centroid distances of 3.4567?(13), 3.5342?(14), 3.6941?(14) and 3.4568?(13)?Å. These non-covalent inter-actions connect the components, forming a three-dimensional supra-molecular structure.
