ABSTRACT: The title compound, C(8)H(11)N(3)O(4)·H(2)O, was synthesized by reaction of 2-azido-acetic acid and ethyl acetyl-acetate. In the crystal packing, mol-ecules are linked by strong inter-molecular O-H?N and O-H?O hydrogen bonds into double layers parallel to the ab plane.

Project description:In the title compound, C19H25N5O2, the morpholine ring has a chair conformation. The plane of the central benzene ring makes dihedral angles of 88.75 (12) and 60.02 (7)°, respectively, with the mean plane formed by the four planar C atoms of the morpholine ring and with the plane of the triazole ring. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked via C-H⋯π inter-actions, forming slabs lying parallel to (10-1). The C atoms of the bridging ethyl-ene group, between the morpholine and benzene rings, and the terminal ethene group of the prop-1-ene substituent attached to the triazole ring, are disordered over two sets of sites, with an occupancy ratio of 0.634 (13):0.366 (13).

Project description:In the title compound, C(12)H(12)N(6)·4H(2)O, the two triazole rings adopt a cis configuration with a crystallographic twofold axis passing through the central benzene group. The benzene and triazole rings are almost coplanar with a dihedral angle of 5.5?(1)°. In the crystal, water mol-ecules are joined together by OW-H?OW hydrogen bonds to form a one-dimensional zigzag chain. These water chains are further connected to the organic mol-ecule, forming a three-dimensional network by inter-molecular OW-H?N and N-H?OW hydrogen bonds. Moreover, ?-? stacking inter-actions between triazole rings [centroid-centroid distances = 3.667?(1)-3.731?(1)?Å] are observed. One of the water mol-ecules shows one of the H atoms to be disordered over two positions.

The dihedral angle between the terminal benzotriazole and benzimidazole rings is 39.02 (6)°. In the crystal, adjacent mol-ecules are connected by N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds, forming an infinite chain along the c axis. π-π stacking inter-actions [centroid-centroid distance = 3.8772 (7) Å] between the benzotriazole rings of neighbouring chains extend these chains into a supra-molecular sheet in the bc plane. Weak inter-molecular C-H⋯N inter-actions further stabilize the crystal structure.
