Bromido(dodecafluorosubphthalo-cyaninato)boron(III).

ABSTRACT: The title compound, C(24)BBrF(12)N(6) or Br-F(12)BsubPc (BsubPc is boronsubphtalocyanine), has a bowl-shaped structure with an approximate mol-ecular C(3v) symmetry characteristic of boronsubphthalocyanine compounds. In the crystal, mol-ecules are arranged in one-dimensional columns and the boron-subphthalocyanine units within each column are offset and angled in a bowl-to-ligand packing arrangement such that the axial Br atom rests in the aromatic concaved bowl of the neighboring subphthalocyanine with an inter-molecular Br?B distance of 3.721?(3)?Å.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound {(C6H18N2)2[Sb2Br10]·H2O} n , consists of two tetra-methyl-ethylendi-ammonium cations that are located on centres of inversion, as well as one tetra-methyl-ethylendi-ammonium cation, one water mol-ecule, one distorted octahedral [SbBr6](3-)anion and one bisphenoidal [SbBr4](-) anion in general positions. The [SbBr6](3-) and [SbBr4](-) anions are linked together by two long Sb-Br bonds of 3.2709 (8) and 3.5447 (7) Å into {[Sb2Br10](4-)} n chains along [001]. One of the three tetra-methyl-ethylendi-ammonium cations is disordered and was refined using a split model (occupancy ratio 0.58:0.42). The cations and the water mol-ecule are connected to the {[Sb2Br10](4-)} n polymeric anions by weak N-H ⋯Br and O(water)-H ⋯Br hydrogen bonding.

Project description:The title salt, [CoBr(C11H27N5)]Br2·2H2O, contains a complex cation with mirror symmetry and two Br(-) counter-anions that are likewise located on the mirror plane. Project description:A new thulium(III)-copper(I) heterometallic coordination polymer, [Cu(4)Tm(2)Br(3)(C(6)H(4)NO(2))(6)(OH)(H(2)O)(4)](n), has been prepared by a hydro-thermal method. The Tm and both Cu atoms lie on mirror planes. The Tm atom is seven-coordinate with a capped distorted trigonal-prismatic coordination geometry, while the Cu atoms adopt trigonal CuBrN(2) and tetra-hedral CuBr(3)N coordination modes, respectively. The Cu atom in the trigonal coordination environment is disordered over two sites of equal occupancy. The crystal structure is constructed from two distinct units of dimeric [Tm(2)(?(2)-OH(IN)(6)(H(2)O)(4)] cores (IN = isonicotinate) and one-dimensional inorganic [Cu(4)Br(3)](n) chains, which are linked together, forming heterometallic Cu-halide-lanthanide-organic layers.

However, the angle between the planes of the five- and six-menbered rings involved in this inter-action is 1.44?(10)°, causing the inter-acting BsubPcs units to be slightly askew rather than parallel as is typical for ?-stacking inter-actions.

An intra-molecular C-H?Br hydrogen bond forms an S(5) ring motif. In the crystal, weak C-H?Br inter-actions link the mol-ecules into helical chains along the b-axis direction.
