4-(1-Naphth-yl)benzonitrile.

ABSTRACT: The title compound, C(17)H(11)N, crystallizes with two mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit which are linked by a weak C-H?N hydrogen bond. The dihedral angles between the benzene ring and the naphthalene ring system in the two mol-ecules are 60.28?(3) and 60.79?(3)°. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked into a three-dimensional network by weak C-H?? inter-actions.
