Poly[[aqua-tris-(?(3)-hexa-methyl-ene-tetra-mine-?N,N',N'')tris-(p-toluene-sulfonato-?O)tris-ilver(I)] trihydrate].

ABSTRACT: There are three Ag(I) cations, three p-toluene-sulfonate (pts) anions, three hexa-methyl-ene-tetra-mine (hmt) mol-ecules and four water mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit of the title coordination polymer, {[Ag(3)(C(7)H(7)O(3)S)(3)(C(6)H(12)N(4))(3)(H(2)O)]·3H(2)O}(n). Two of the pts anions show positional disorder of their O atoms in 0.60:0.40 and 0.50:0.50 ratios. The Ag(I) ion is coordinated by three hmt mol-ecules in an approximate trigonal-planar AgN(3) arrangement. In each case, longer Ag-O bonds to a water mol-ecule and a pts anion complete a distorted trigonal-bipyramidal AgN(3)O(2) geometry for the metal ion. In the crystal, the bridging hmt mol-ecules and pts ions generate a wave-like layer parallel to (001) and O-H?O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions consolidate the packing.

Project description:In the title compound, (NH(4))(2)[Fe(C(10)H(12)N(2)O(8))(H(2)O)]·3H(2)O, the Fe(II) center is in a distorted penta-gonal-bipyramidal geometry. Two carboxyl-ate O and two N atoms from the ethyl-enediaminetetra-acetate (EDTA) ion and one O atom from coordinated water comprise the equatorial plane. Two other carboxyl-ate O atoms from the EDTA ion occupy the apical sites. Both ammonium cations and all water mol-ecules function as hydrogen-bond donors, and ten N-H⋯O and nine O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds form a three-dimensional network between the complex anions, cations and the water mol-ecules.

Project description:The title fluoridogermanate, {[Cd(2)(C(6)H(18)N(4))(3)][GeF(6)]}(n), was synthesized hydro-thermally. The crystal structure comprises undulated cationic [Cd(2)(TETA)(3)](4+) chains (TETA is triethyl-ene-tetra-mine) propagating parallel to [101]. The central Cd(II) atom is six-coordinated in a CdN(6) set by three TETA ligands. The isolated [GeF(6)](2-) units, serving as counter-anions, occupy the inter-chain spaces and simultaneously link adjacent chains into a three-dimensional network through extensive N-H⋯F hydrogen-bonding inter-actions. One of the ethyl-ene bridges of one TETA ligand is disordered around a twofold rotation axis.

Project description:In the title compound, [Ag(3)(C(12)H(12)N(2)O(2))(4)](PF(6))(3), one Ag(I) ion, lying on a twofold rotation axis, is coordinated by four N atoms from four 1,3-bis-(4,5-dihydro-1,3-oxazol-2-yl)benzene (L) ligands in a distorted tetra-hedral geometry and the other Ag(I) ion is coordinated by two N atoms from two L ligands in a bent arrangement [N-Ag-N = 169.03 (17)°]. Two L ligands adopt a syn conformation, while the other two adopt an anti conformation. They bridge adjacent Ag(I) ions, forming a trinuclear complex. One of the PF(6) (-) anions is half-occupied, with the P atom located on a twofold rotation axis. The PF(6) (-) anions link the complex mol-ecules via Ag⋯F inter-actions [2.80 (2) and 2.85 (2) Å] into a polymeric chain along [100].

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title compound, [Ag(3)(C(9)H(6)N(3)O(3)S)(3)(H(2)O)(2)](n), the mol-ecules are linked into three-decked polymeric zigzag chains propagating in [100]. On the middle deck, the Ag atom is five-coordinated by three O atoms from three 4-(3-pyrid-yl)pyrimidine-2-sulfonate (L) ligands, one of which lies on a mirror plane with the sulfonate group disordered over two orientations in a 1:1 ratio, and two N atoms from two L ligands, which lie on the same mirror plane. On the upper and lower decks, the Ag atom is four-coordinated by an aqua ligand, one O and two N atoms from two L ligands with the pyridyl and pyrimidine rings twisted at 19.8?(2)°. In the polymeric chain, there are ?-? inter-actions between six-membered rings of L ligands from different decks with centroid-centroid distances of 3.621?(7) and 3.721?(3)?Å. In the crystal, inter-molecular O-H?O hydrogen bonds link further these three-decked chains into layers parallel to (010).

Project description:In the title polymeric compound, [Cu2(HCO2)4(C6H12N4)] n , the Cu(II) atom is five-coordinated in a square-pyramidal geometry that is defined by four O atoms from four formate ligands and one N atom from a hexa-methyl-ene-tetra-mine ligand. The two Cu(II) atoms are separated by 2.6850?(7)?Å, and together with the four formate ligands they form a paddle-wheel unit. Project description:In the mol-ecule of the title compound, [Ni(C(5)H(4)NO(3)S)(2)(H(2)O)(4)], the Ni(II) cation is located on an inversion center and is coordinated by four water mol-ecules and two pyridine-3-sulfonate anions with an NiN(2)O(4) distorted octa-hedral geometry. The face-to-face separation of 3.561 (5) Å between parallel pyridine rings indicates the existence of weak π-π stacking between the pyridine rings. The structure also contains inter-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonding and weak C-H⋯O hydrogen bonding.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title complex, (C(12)H(9)N(2))(3)[Fe(CN)(6)]·C(2)H(5)OH·3H(2)O, consists of two half [Fe(CN)(6)](3-) anions located on inversion centers, three 1,10-phenanthrolin-1-ium cations, [Hphen](+), an ethanol and three water solvent mol-ecules. The average Fe-C and C-N bond lengths are 1.942?(6) and 1.154?(3)?Å, respectively, while the Fe-C-N angles deviate slightly from linearity with values ranging from 177.8?(2) to 179.7?(2)°. The Fe(III) atoms adopt a distorted octa-hedral geometry. All the species are linked through O-H?N, N-H?O and O-H?O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions, resulting in a three-dimensional supra-molecular network.

Project description:The crystal structure of the title solvated coordination compound, [Co(NCS)2(C6H12N4)2(H2O)2]·2C6H12N4·2C2H3N, consists of discrete complexes in which the Co2+ cations (site symmetry ) are sixfold coordinated by two N-bonded thio-cyanate anions, two water mol-ecules and two hexa-methyl-ene-tetra-mine (HMT) mol-ecules to generate distorted trans-CoN4O2 octa-hedra. The discrete complexes are each connected by two HMT solvate mol-ecules into chains via strong O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds. These chains are further linked by additional O-H⋯N and C-H⋯N and C-H⋯S hydrogen bonds into a three-dimensional network. Within this network, channels are formed that propagate along the c-axis direction and in which additional aceto-nitrile solvent mol-ecules are embedded, which are hydrogen bonded to the network. The CN stretching vibration of the thio-cyanate ion occurs at 2062 cm-1, which is in agreement with the presence of N-bonded anionic ligands. XRPD investigations prove the formation of the title compound as the major phase accompanied by a small amount of a second unknown phase.
