ABSTRACT: In the title compound, (C(2)H(8)NO)(2)[PdCl(4)], 2-hy-droxy-ethanaminium cations and tetra-chloridopalladate(II) dianions crystallize in a 2:1 ratio with the anion residing on a crystallographic inversion center. The cations and anions are linked in a complex three-dimensional framework by three types of strong hydrogen bonds (N-H?O, N-H?Cl, and O-H?Cl), which form various ring and chain patterns of up to the ternary graph-set level.

Four water O atoms in the equatorial plane around the Co(II) ion [Co-O = 2.0593?(16) and 2.1118?(16)?Å] form a slightly distorted square-planar arrangement, and the distorted octahedral geometry is completed by the two N atoms [Co-N = 2.1306?(18)?Å] from two isonicotinamide ligands. In the anion, the carboxyl-ate group is twisted from the attached benzene ring at 8.84?(17)°. In the crystal, a three-dimensional hydrogen-bonding network, formed by classical O-H?O and N-H?O hydrogen bonds, consolidates the crystal packing, which exhibits ?-? inter-actions between the benzene and pyridine rings, with centroid-centroid distances of 3.458?(1) and 3.606?(1)?Å, respectively.

Project description:In the cation of the title compound C9H14ON(+)·C3H2O3N3 (-), the benzyl-amine C-N bond subtends a dihedral angle of 78.3?(2)° with the phenyl ring. The cyanurate anion is in the usual keto-form and shows an r.m.s. deviation from planarity of 0.010?Å. In the crystal, the cyanurate anions form N-H?O hydrogen-bonded zigzag ribbons along [001]. One of the two H atoms of each uncoordinating water mol-ecule is disordered over two orientations with an occupancy ratio of 0.60:0.40.

Project description:The title arsenatomolybdate, K(5)[Mo(8)O(24)(OH)(2)(AsO(4))]·2H(2)O, which was obtained hydro-thermally, features an [AsMo(8)O(28)(OH)(2)](5-) anion, which is formed by two Mo(4)O(14)(OH) units that are linked by As in a sandwich-like fashion. The overall symmetry of the anion is m2m. The {Mo(4)O(14)(OH)} core is composed of two pairs of confacial biocta-hedral {Mo(2)O(9)} units with two μ(4)-O atoms which have been characterized as hydroxyl groups. The anions are further inter-connected by potassium cations, forming a three-dimensional network structure with the uncoordinated water mol-ecules occupying the channels. The structure is further stabilized by O-H⋯O hydrogen bonding.
