The thio-phene ring is disordered over two orientations [occupancy ratio = 0.634 (4):0.366 (4)] which make dihedral angles of 54.61 (16) and 54.57 (31)° with the triazole ring. Inter-molecular N-H⋯O and O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds stabilize the crystal structure.

Project description:In the title hydrate, C(10)H(7)N(3)OS·H(2)O, the essentially planar benzofuran [maximum deviation = 0.006 (1) Å] and 4,5-dihydro-1H-1,2,4-triazole [maximum deviation = 0.007 (1) Å] rings form a dihedral angle of 11.67 (6)°. In the crystal, O-H⋯N, O-H⋯S, N-H⋯O and N-H⋯S hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into sheets lying parallel to the bc plane. Aromatic π-π stacking inter-actions [centroid-centroid distances = 3.5078 (8)-3.6113 (8) Å] are also observed.

Project description:The title mol-ecule, C(15)H(21)N(3)S, exists as the thione tautomer in the solid state. The 1,2,4-triazole ring is almost planar (r.m.s. deviation = 0.004?Å) and the prop-2-en-1-yl chain is close to being perpendicular to this plane [C-N-C-C torsion angle = 77.1?(5)°]. In the crystal, centrosymmetric dimeric aggregates are formed by pairs of N-H?S hydrogen bonds as parts of eight-membered (?HNCS)(2) synthons. These are connected into layers parallel to (101) via C-H?? inter-actions, where the ?-system is the triazole ring. The investigated sample was a nonmerohedral twin; the refined domain ratio was 0.655?(4):0.345?(4).

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(4)H(5)N(7), comprises two independent but virtually superimposable mol-ecules. Each mol-ecule is planar with the dihedral angles between the five-membered rings being 2.8?(3) and 2.1?(3)°. The crystal structure is formed by an extensive network of relatively strong N-H?N hydrogen-bond inter-actions. Individual mol-ecules are arranged into supra-molecular zigzag chains running parallel to [001] by way of the strongest N-H?N inter-actions. Adjacent chains are inter-connected by rather long (D?A distances range from ca 3.00 to 3.03?Å) but highly directional (inter-action angles above ca 173°) hydrogen bonds forming a supra-molecular layer in the bc plane.

Weak ?-? inter-actions between the benzene rings of neighboring chains with a centroid-centroid distance of 3.893?(4)?Å result in the formation of layers parallel to the ac plane.
