ABSTRACT: The title compound, C(10)H(10)O(5), was obtained by the reaction of 4-hy-droxy-phenyl-acetic acid with chloro-acetic acid. In the crystal, the mol-ecules form a three-dimensional network by way of inter-molecular O-H?O hydrogen bonding.
