4-Bromo-3-hy-droxy-3-(4-hy-droxy-2-oxo-2H-chromen-3-yl)indolin-2-one.

ABSTRACT: In the mol-ecule of the title compound, C(17)H(10)BrNO(5), the indoline system and the attached coumarin ring are each essentially planar with maximum deviations of 0.074?(2) and 0.062 (2)?Å, respectively. The dihedral angle between them is 85.09?(3)°. In the crystal, all heteroatoms (except for the coumarin oxo O atoms) are involved in intra- and inter-molecular hydrogen bonds. An intra-molecular O-H?O hydrogen bond occurs. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked through O-H?O, N-H?O and C-H?O contacts, forming a complex three-dimensional structure.

The dihedral angle between the mean planes through the chromene ring systems is 56.31?(5) and 55.2?(3)° for the major and minor components, respectively. In both components, a pair of intra-molecular O-H?O inter-actions generate rings of S(8) graph-set motif. In the crystal, the mol-ecules are linked by inter-molecular C-H?O inter-actions, forming chains along the b axis. The structure is further stabilized by ?-? inter-actions with centroid-centroid distances of 3.594?(2) and 3.608?(5)?Å.

Project description:The title compound, C11H6Br2O4, is a new coumarin derivative obtained from the reaction of 3-acetyl-4-hy-droxy-2H-chromen-2-one with bromine in acetic acid. The hy-droxyl group in involved in an intra-molecular O-H?O hydrogen bond. In the crystal, ?-? inter-actions between the rings of the bicycle [inter-centroid distances = 3.498?(2) and 3.539?(2)?Å] pack mol-ecules into stacks along the b axis, and weak inter-molecular C-H?O hydrogen bonds further link these stacks into layers parallel to the ab plane.

Project description:In the title coumarin derivative, C12H10O5, the fused ring system is almost planar (r.m.s deviation = 0.016 Å). The Car-C-C=O torsion angle of the side chain is -8.4 (2)° In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, generating C(8) chains propagating in the [100] direction. The chains are cross-linked by weak C-H⋯O inter-actions, thereby generating undulating (001) sheets.

The dihedral angle between the pyrazole and phenyl rings is 56.60 (9)°. The pyrazole ring adopts a twisted comformation. The mol-ecular conformation is stabilized by intra-molecular N-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, both of which form S(6) ring motifs. In the crystal, each water mol-ecule is linked to its adjacent organic mol-ecule via pairs of O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. The packing is further consolidated by pairs of inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, which link the mol-ecules into dimers; the dimers are stacked along the b axis.

The chromenone ring system is approximately planar with a maximum deviation of 0.0208?(14)?Å.
