ABSTRACT: In the title compound, C(14)H(19)N(3)S, the cyclo-hexane ring has a chair conformation. The almost planar amino-thio-urea unit (r.m.s. deviation = 0.0062?Å) is aligned at a dihedral angle of 45.23?(8)° with respect to the benzene ring. Inter-molecular N-H?N and N-H?S hydrogen bonding stabilizes the crystal structure.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C10H17N3S, consists of three symmetry-independent mol-ecules with distinctly different conformations, as indicated for example by the C-N-C-C torsion angles of -155.9?(3), 89.9?(3) and 81.1?(4)° along the bond between thio-urea and allyl units. In the crystal, mol-ecules are connected via N-H?N and N-H?S hydrogen bonds into chains extending along [110] that are further associated through C-H?N inter-actions into layers parallel to (001). The allyl group in one of the independent mol-ecules is disordered over two sets of sites with an occupancy ratio of 0.853?(6):0.147?(6).

The mol-ecule exhibits an E configuration for the azomethine linkage. In the crystal, inter-molecular N-H⋯S hydrogen bonds about centers of inversion lead to the formation of dimers.

Project description:There are two independent mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(13)H(13)N(3)OS, which was obtained from a condensation reaction of N-(p-tol-yl)hydrazinecarbothio-amide and furfural. The dihedral angles between the mean planes of the tolyl ring and the (furan-2-yl-methyl-ene)hydrazine unit are 39.83 (8) and 48.95 (7)° in the two mol-ecules. The mol-ecules both exhibit an E configuration. In the crystal, inter-molecular N-H⋯N and N-H⋯S hydrogen bonds connect the two independent mol-ecules.

Project description:The conformation of the title compound, C14H19N3S, is partially determined by an intra-molecular N-H⋯N hydro-gen-bond inter-action, although the N-H⋯N angle of 108° is quite small. The cyclo-hexyl-idene ring has a chair conformation and its mean plane is inclined to the benzene ring by 46.30 (8)°. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by pairs of N-H⋯S hydrogen bonds, forming inversion dimers, with an R 2 (2)(8) ring motif. The dimers are reinforced by pairs of C-H⋯S hydrogen bonds, and are linked by further weak C-H⋯S hydrogen bonds, forming chains propagating along [100].

Crystal structure of 1-(4-methyl-phen-yl)-3-(propan-2-yl-idene-amino)-thio-urea.

Project description:In the title thio-semicarbazone, C11H15N3S, the p-tolyl-N-H and imino-N-H groups are anti and syn, respectively, to the central thione-S atom. This allows for the formation of an intra-molecular p-tolyl-N-H⋯N(imino) hydrogen bond. The mol-ecule is twisted with the dihedral angle between the p-tolyl ring and the non-hydrogen atoms of the N=CMe2 residue being 29.27 (8)°. The crystal packing features supra-molecular layers lying in the bc plane whereby centrosymmetric aggregates sustained by eight-membered thio-amide {⋯HNCS}2 synthons are linked by further N-H⋯S hydrogen bonds. Layers are connected via methyl-C-H⋯π inter-actions. The supra-molecular aggregation was further investigated by an analysis of the Hirshfeld surface and comparison made to related structures.

Project description:Two independent mol-ecules comprise the asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(13)H(19)N(3)OS, which differ in the conformations of the residues linking the thio-urea and the terminal benzene ring, as manifested in the C(m)-C(m)-C(a)-C(a) torsion angles [78.03 (16) and -93.64 (16)°, respectively; m = methyl-ene and a = aromatic]. The dihedral angles [84.40 (4) and 88.28 (5)°] formed between the thio-urea residue and the benzene ring indicate an almost orthogonal relationship. In each thio-urea residue, the N-H hydrogen atoms are anti, and the terminal N-H hydrogen atom forms an intra-molecular N-H⋯N hydrogen bond with the imine-N atom. In each case, the conformation about the imine C=N double bond [1.2812 (17) and 1.2801 (17) Å] is E. In the crystal, the mol-ecules are connected by N-H⋯S hydrogen bonds and these are connected into four mol-ecule aggregates via N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, which are assembled into a two-dimensional array parallel to (011) via C-H⋯π and π-π inter-actions [ring centroid-centroid distance = 3.8344 (9) Å].

Project description:In the title thio-urea derivative, C(14)H(20)N(4)S, the non-ring non-H atoms are approximately planar, with an r.m.s. deviation of 0.0720?Å. The pyridine ring is twisted out of this plane and makes a dihedral angle of 16.85?(13)° with it. The mean plane passing through the cyclo-hexyl ring is almost normal to the central plane [dihedral angle = 69.23?(8)°]. An intra-molecular N-H?N(imine) hydrogen bond occurs. Centrosymmetric dimers are formed in the crystal structure via pairs of N-H?S hydrogen bonds, and these are connected into a supra-molecular chain along the a axis via C-H??(pyrid-yl) inter-actions.

The cyclo-hexyl ring displays a chair conformation. An intra-molecular N-H?O inter-action is present. In the crystal, inter-molecular N-H?S hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into centrosymmetric dimers. ?-? inter-actions between inversion-related benzene rings (centroid-centroid distance = 4.044?Å) and C-H?? inter-actions (H?centroid distance = 3.116?Å) between one methyl-ene cyclo-hexyl H atom and the benzene ring are also present.
