(2-Methyl-4-oxo-4H-pyran-3-olato-?O,O)bis-(triphenyl-phosphane-?P)copper(I)-triphenyl-phosphane-methanol (1/1/1).

ABSTRACT: In the title compound, [Cu(C(6)H(5)O(3))(C(18)H(15)P)(2)]·C(18)H(15)P·CH(3)OH, the pyran-4-one ring is appromimately planar (r.m.s deviation = 0.0138?Å), with the Cu(I) atom 0.451?(5)?Å out of the plane. The Cu(I) atom has a distorted tetra-hedral coordination. The O-Cu-O angle is 80.07?(8)° and the P-Cu-P angle is 123.49?(3)°. The crystal packing is stablized by intra-molecular C-H?O inter-actions and inter-molecular C-H?O and O-H?O inter-actions.

In the title compound, [Cu(C(6)H(5)O(3))(C(18)H(15)P)(2)]·C(18)H(15)P·CH(3)OH, the pyran-4-one ring is appromimately planar (r.m.s deviation = 0.0138 Å), with the Cu(I) atom 0.451 (5) Å out of the plane. The Cu(I) atom has a distorted tetra-hedral coordination. The O-Cu-O angle is 80.07 (8)° and the P-Cu-P angle is 123.49 (3)°. The crystal packing is stablized by intra-molecular C-H⋯O inter-actions and inter-molecular C-H⋯O and O-H⋯O inter-actions. ...[more]

The complex mol-ecules and the methanol solvent mol-ecules are connected via N-H?O and O-H?I hydrogen bonds, forming a chain along [010]. An intra-molecular N-H?I hydrogen bond is also observed.

The Cu⋯Cu distance is 2.8293 (12) Å, implying a weak Cu⋯Cu inter-action.

Project description:The title compound, [Pd(C(2)H(3)OS(2))(2)(C(18)H(15)P)], features a palladium complex with a triphenyl-phosphane ligand and two xanthate ligands, one of them coordinates in a bidentate and the other in a monodentate fashion, giving rise to a slightly distorted square-planar coordination of the Pd(II) ion. As a result of this difference in the coordination modes, the C-S bond lengths are different, viz. 1.687 (2) and 1.692 (2) Å in the bidentate ligand and 1.723 (2) Å in the monodentate ligand, whereas the non-coordinating S atom has a C-S distance of 1.649 (2) Å. The crystal packing is stabilized by C-H⋯O inter-actions.
