ABSTRACT: In the title compound, C(18)H(21)N(3)O(2)S·0.5H(2)O, the benzene ring makes dihedral angles of 88.59?(6) and 40.74?(8)° with the pyridine ring and the amide group, respectively. The water O atom lies on a twofold axis. In the crystal, the organic mol-ecules and the water mol-ecules are linked via O-H?O hydrogen bonds, while the organic mol-ecules are connected to each other via N-H?O hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional network.

Project description:In the title compound, C24H27N5O2S·0.5H2O, the piperidine ring adopts a distorted boat conformation. The phenyl rings subtend dihedral angles of 69.7?(1) and 88.7?(1)° with the best plane through the piperidine moiety. In the crystal, symmetry-related mol-ecules are linked through a network of C-H?O and C-H?N inter-actions, the former connecting them into zigzag chains along the c-axis direction and the latter forming an R (2) 2(4)motif. The dimer formation (C-H?N) and the repetition of symmetry-related molecules (C-H?O) along the b-axis direction stabilize the packing mode. The water mol-ecule is located on a twofold rotation axis.

Project description:In the title compound, C15H13F3O2S, the dihedral angle between the benzene rings is 79.5 (1)°. The ester group is twisted by 7.6 (1)° from the mean plane of the adjacent benzene ring. Disorder was modeled over two sites for one F atom of the tri-fluoro-methyl group with an occupancy ratio of 0.54 (6):0.46 (6). In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked via weak C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming two-dimensional networks lying parallel to (101). The networks are linked via C-H⋯π inter-actions, leading to the formation of a three-dimensional supra-molecular structure.

Project description:The structure of the title compound, C(23)H(18)N(2)S, is revealed by X-ray diffraction to be almost planar over all four aromatic rings; the pendant rings are at angles of 10.18, 14.12 and 15.42° relative to the central pyridine ring for the 4-methylsulfanyl, 2-pyridyl and 6-phenyl rings, respectively. The 2,6-aromatic substituents are disordered over two sites in a 0.6:0.4 occupancy ratio.

Project description:The title compound, K+·C18H14N5O2S3 -·C3H7NO·0.5H2O, was obtained in a reaction designed to deliver a neutral 2-pyrimidylbenzo-thia-zole. The anion is deprotonated at the sulfonamide nitro-gen. The asymmetric unit of the title compound contains two potassium cations, two anions, two mol-ecules of DMF and one of water. The anions display some conformational differences but each contains an intra-molecular N-H⋯Nbenzo-thia-zole hydrogen bond. The potassium ions both display a highly irregular six-coordination, different for each potassium ion. The anions, together with the DMF and water mol-ecules, are linked by four classical hydrogen bonds to form chains parallel to the b-axis direction.

Project description:The title compound, C9H10N4OS·0.5H2O, crystallizes with two independent mol-ecules (A and B) in the asymmetric unit, together with a water mol-ecule of crystallization. The acetamide moiety, which has an extended conformation, is inclined to the pyridine ring by 7.95 (16)° in mol-ecule A and by 1.77 (16)° in mol-ecule B. In the crystal, the A and B mol-ecules are linked by two N-H⋯Ocarbon-yl hydrogen bonds, forming a dimer. The dimers are linked via N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds, forming ribbons that are linked by N-H⋯Owater hydrogen bonds to form sheets parallel to (110). The sheets are linked by O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds, forming slabs, and between the slabs there are weak slipped parallel π-π inter-actions [inter-centroid distance = 3.734 (2) Å, inter-planar distance = 3.3505 (11) Å and slippage = 1.648 Å], forming a three-dimensional structure.

Project description:There are two independent mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(19)H(24)S(2). In both mol-ecules, the aliphatic segment of the ligand is in an all-trans conformation: the -S-(CH(2))(5)-S-bridging chain is almost planar (r.m.s. deviation for all non-H atoms = 0.0393 and 0.0796?Å in the two mol-ecules) and maximally extended. Their mean planes form dihedral angles of 4.08?(6)/20.47?(6) and 2.22?(6)/58.19?(6)° with the aromatic rings in the two mol-ecules. The crystal packing is purely governed by weak inter-molecular forces.

Project description:In the title compound, C18H17Br2NOS2, the conformation of the piperidin-2-one ring is based on a half-chair with the methyl-ene C atom diagonally opposite the N atom being 0.649?(3)?Å above the plane of the remaining five atoms (r.m.s. deviation = 0.1205?Å). The S atoms occupy axial and bis-ectional positions, and the dihedral angle between the benzene rings of 59.95?(11)° indicates a splayed disposition. Helical supra-molecular chains along the b axis sustained by C-H?O inter-actions is the major feature of the crystal packing. The chains are connected into a three-dimensional architecture by C-H?Br and C-H?? inter-actions.
