ABSTRACT: In the mol-ecule of the title compound, C(16)H(19)N(3)O(6), the imidazole ring is essentially planar [maximum deviation = 0.002 (2) Å] and forms a dihedral angle of 5.08 (14)° with the nitro group. In the crystal structure, adjacent mol-ecules are connected via inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds into columns parallel to the a axis.

Project description:In the crystal structure, the title compound, C(12)H(16)N(6)O(6), lies on an inversion centre. The mol-ecule has an anti-periplanar conformation with respect to the C-C bond of the central ethane unit and the two imidazole rings are parallel to each other. The dihedral angle between the imidazole ring and the mean plane of the C and O atoms of the bis-(eth-oxy)ethane group is 76.04?(6)°. The mol-ecules are stacked along the c axis through a weak C-H?O inter-action and a ??? inter-action between the imidazole rings with a centroid-centroid distance of 3.5162?(6)?Å. An intramolecular C-H?O hydrogen bond is also present.

Project description:In the title compound, C(17)H(16)N(2)O(3)·3H(2)O, the dihedral angle between the mean planes of the benzene and benzimidazole systems is 26.2 (3)°. These groups are slightly twisted around the eth-oxy-methane unit [C-C-O-C torsion angle = 177.64 (15)°]. The crystal packing is stabilized by N-H⋯O, O-H⋯N and O-H⋯O hydrogen-bond inter-actions involving the water mol-ecules. Weak π-π stacking inter-actions [centroid-centroid distances = 3.7943 (7), 3.6919 (13) and 3.7533 (14) Å] contribute to the mol-ecular stability.

Project description:In the title salt, C6H12N3 (+)·C7H3N2O7 (-), the imidazole ring is planar, with a maximum deviation of 0.0013 (14) Å for the N attached to the propanaminium group. In the anion, a single intra-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bond is observed. The mean planes of the nitro groups in the anion are twisted from the benzene ring mean plane making dihedral angles of 24.7 (9) and 3.9 (6)°. In the crystal, the ammonium H atoms form N-H⋯N and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, resulting in an infinite chain along [111]. In addition to the classical hydrogen bonds, weak C-H⋯O and π-π [centroid-centroid distance = 3.7124 (9) Å] inter-actions are also observed, which lead to the formation a three-dimensional supramolecular structure that links the chains into layers along the bc plane.

Project description:In the title solvate, C(24)H(24)N(2)O(4)·CH(3)NO(2), the benzene ring of the 2-eth-oxy-6-methyl-phenol substituent is approximately perpendicular to the nearly planar benzimidazole ring [maximum deviation = 0.021 (2) Å], making a dihedral angle of 84.32 (7)°. The benzene ring of the 2-eth-oxy-phenol group is somewhat inclined to the benzimidazole ring plane by 28.03 (5)°. The dihedral angle between the benzene rings is 82.20 (9)°. The compound reveals strong intra-molecular O-H⋯N and O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming six- and five-membered rings, respectively. In the crystal, mol-ecules are connected by bifurcated O-H⋯(O,O) hydrogen bonds, forming chains along the b axis.

Each metal atom displays an elongated octa-hedral coordination geometry provided by two trans-arranged chloride anions and four N atoms from two BIEE ligands. Weak O-H⋯Cl hydrogen-bond inter-actions contribute to the stability of the crystal packing.

Project description:In the asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(17)H(19)NO(3), there are three independent mol-ecules, which are align nearly parallel to each other and adopt the phenol-imine tautomeric form. In each mol-ecule, an intra-molecular O-H⋯N hydrogen bond results in the formation of an S(6) ring motif. The dihedral angles between the aromatic rings in the three independent mol-ecules are 13.55 (2), 21.24 (2) and 46.26 (1)°. C-H⋯π inter-actions are also observed in the crystal structure.

The propyne group is almost linear, the C-C C angle being 176.5 (2)°, and is also in the flagpole position on the O atom. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked via N-H⋯O and C-H⋯O inter-molecular hydrogen bonds involving the nitro-group O atoms as acceptors.
