Poly[aqua-bis-(?-formato-?O:O')(?-pyrazine-?N:N')nickel(II)].

ABSTRACT: In the title compound, [Ni(CHO(2))(2)(C(4)H(4)N(2))(H(2)O)], the nickel(II) cations are coordinated by three O-bonded-formato anions, two N-bonded-pyrazine ligands and one water mol-ecule in an octa-hedral coordination mode. The nickel(II) cations are connected by ?-1,3-bridging formato anions and N,N'-bridging pyrazine ligands into a three dimensional coordination network. The asymmetric unit consists of one nickel(II) cation, one water mol-ecule and two crystallograph-ically independent formato anions in general positions as well as two crystallographically independent pyrazine ligands, which are located on centers of inversion.

Project description:In the title dinuclear ionic complex, [Cd(2)(C(4)H(4)N(2))(H(2)O)(8)][Cd(2)(CH(3)CO(2))(8)(C(4)H(4)N(2))], the cation and anion are disordered equally over a site with symmetry mmm. The Cd(II) ions and the N atoms of the bridging pyrazine ligand lie on the inter-section of two crystallographic mirror planes. The C atoms of the bridging pyrazine ligand lie on one of these mirror planes, and the acetate groups and water mol-ecules lie across the inter-secting mirror planes. Each Cd(II) atom in the cation is five-coordinated by four O atoms from four water mol-ecules and one N atom from the bridging pyrazine ligand, whereas each Cd(II) in the anion is nine-coordinated by four pairs of O atoms from the bidentate acetate ligands and one N atom from the bridging pyrazine ligand. Project description:In the title compound, {[Fe(CHO(2))(2)(C(10)H(8)N(2))(H(2)O)]·4H(2)O}(n), the Fe(II) ion is coordinated by two 4,4'-bipyridyl (4,4'-bpy) ligands, three formate ligands and one water molecule. The slightly distorted octahedral FeN(2)O(4) coordination results from the N atoms of two bridging 4,4'-bpy ligands, the O atoms of two bridging HCOO(-) anions of anti-anti mode, all in trans positions around the metal centre, and the O atoms of one terminal HCOO(-) anion and of one water molecule. The bridging formate ligands link the metal ions into chains that are further connected via 4,4'-bpy ligands into a framework structure. The three-dimensional structure is stabilized by extensive O-H?O hydrogen bonding. The crystals were twinned containing a 0.84:0.16 racemate.

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title compound, [Na(4)Ni(C(8)H(3)O(7)S)(2)(H(2)O)(12)](n), the Ni(II) cation occupies an inversion centre and is coordinated by the carboxyl groups of the sulfoisophthalate trianions and water mol-ecules in a distorted octa-hedral geometry. Two independent Na(I) atoms are connected by the carboxyl and sulfonate groups of the sulfoisophthalate ligands anions and water mol-ecules in a distorted octa-hedral geometry. The sulfoisophthalate ligands and coordinated water mol-ecules bridge the Ni(II) and Na(I) cations, forming a three-dimensional polymeric structure. Weak ?-? stacking is present between parallel benzene rings [centroid-centroid distance = 3.9349?(10)?Å]. Extensive O-H?O and C-H?O hydrogen bonding helps to stabilize the crystal structure.

Project description:In the title polymeric compound, [Ni(C8H5O3)2(C4H4N2)(H2O)2] n , the Ni(II) atom is located on a twofold rotation axis and has a slightly distorted octa-hedral coordination sphere. In the equatorial plane, it is coordinated by two carboxyl-ate O atoms of two symmetry-related monodentate formyl-benzoate anions and by two N atoms of the bridging pyrazine ligand, which is bis-ected by the twofold rotation axis. The axial positions are occupied by two O atoms of the coordinating water mol-ecules. In the formyl-benzoate anion, the carboxyl-ate group is twisted away from the attached benzene ring by 7.0?(6)°, while the benzene and pyrazine rings are oriented at a dihedral angle of 66.2?(3)°. The pyrazine ligands bridge the Ni(II) cations, forming polymeric chains running along the b-axis direction. Intra-molecular O-H?O hydrogen bonds link the water ligands to the carboxyl-ate O atoms. In the crystal, water-water O-H?O hydrogen bonds link adjacent chains into layers parallel to the bc plane. Pyrazine-formyl C-H?O hydrogen bonds link the layers, forming a three-dimensional network. Project description:In the layered title coordination polymer, {[Ba(2)(C(5)H(3)N(2)O(2))(2)(H(2)O)(7)](C(5)H(3)N(2)O(2))(2)}(n), the coordination geometries around the two independent Ba(II) ions can be described as bicapped square-anti-prismatic [BaNO(9)] arrangements. A two-dimensional polymeric framework with (6,3) topology can be observed in the ac plane, the nodes being provided by Ba(II) ions and the connectors being N and O atoms belonging to pyrazine-2-carboxyl-ate ligands and O atoms of bridging water mol-ecules. Non-coordinating pyrazine-2-carboxyl-ate ions are located between the polymeric layers in the crystal and are interconnected through extensive O-H?N,O hydrogen bonding.

Project description:The title complex, [CoNa(CO5P)(H2O)5]n, was obtained by reacting sodium phosphono-formate with cobalt nitrate. The complex contains cobalt(II) and sodium ions, which are bridged by the O atoms of two aqua ligands. The Co(II) ion is octahedrally coordinated by three phosphonoformato ligands (one bi- and the other monodentate) and by two O atoms from the bridging aqua ligands. The sodium cation is hexa-coordinated by six O atoms from four bridging and two terminal aqua ligands. The complex mol-ecules are linked to give a three-dimensional structure by phosphono-formate ligands bridging Co(II) atoms and water mol-ecules establishing cobalt-sodium bridges. O-H?O hydrogen bonding between the aqua ligands and all O atoms of the phosphono-formato ligand and neighbouring aqua ligands help to consolidate the packing.

The disulfanediyldibenzo-ate dianion bridges two Ni(II )atoms. Adjacent mol-ecules are linked through the coordinated water mol-ecules, forming a O-H?O hydrogen-bonded chain running along the a axis.
