Poly[diacetonitrile-[?(3)-difluoro-(oxalato)borato]sodium].

ABSTRACT: The title compound, [Na(C(2)BF(2)O(4))(CH(3)CN)(2)](n), forms infinite two-dimensional layers running parallel to (010). The layers lie across crystallographic mirror planes at y = 1/4 and 3/4. The Na, B and two F atoms reside on these mirror planes. The Na(+) cations are six-coordinate. Two equatorial coordination positions are occupied by acetonitrile mol-ecules. The other two equatorial coordination sites are occupied by the chelating O atoms from the difluoro-(oxalato)borate anion (DFOB(-)). The axial coordination sites are occupied by two F atoms from two different DFOB(-) anions.

The two but-oxy 'tail' atoms are disordered over two conformations in a 0.887 (9):0.113 (9) ratio.

Project description:The crystal structure of the title compound, [Cu(C(2)N(3))(C(2)H(3)N)(2)](n), features zigzag chains along the a axis that consist of alternating [Cu(MeCN)(2)] and dicyanamide units, the latter acting as bidentate ligands via both terminal N atoms. The Cu atom shows a slightly distorted tetra-hedral coordination sphere. The anionic and neutral ligands lie on different mirror planes (perpendicular to the b and a axis, respectively), while the Cu atom is situated on their inter-section. The asymmetric unit comprises one fourth of the formula unit.

Project description:The title compound, Li(+)·C(2)BF(2)O(4) (-)·2C(4)H(8)O(2)S, is a dimeric species, which resides across a crystallographic inversion center. The dimers form eight-membered rings containing two Li(+) cations, which are joined by O(2)S sulfone linkages. The Li(+) cations are ligated by four O atoms from the anions and solvent mol-ecules, forming a pseudo-tetra-hedral geometry. The exocyclic coordination sites are occupied by O atoms from the oxalate group of the difluoro-(oxalato)borate anion and an additional tetra-methyl-ene sulfone ligand.

Poly[diimidazole-?(4)-oxalato-?(2)-oxalato-dicopper(II)].

Project description:The title compound, [Cu(2)(C(2)O(4))(2)(C(3)H(4)N(2))(2)](n), was obtained as an unexpected product under hydro-thermal conditions. The Cu(II) atom is in a Jahn-Teller-distorted octa-hedral environment formed by one imidazole N atom and five O atoms from three oxalate anions. The two independent oxalate anions are situated on centres of inversion and coordinate to the Cu(II) atom in two different modes, viz. bidentate and monodentate. The bidentate anions bridge two Cu(II) atoms, whereas the monodentate anions bridge four Cu(II) atoms, leading to a layered arrangement parallel to (100). These layers are further linked into a final three-dimensional network structure via inter-molecular N-H?O hydrogen bonds. The title compound is isotypic with the Zn analogue.

Project description:The title compound, {[Nd(2)(C(2)O(4))(3)(H(2)O)(4)]·2H(2)O}(n), was synthesized hydro-thermally in the presence of bis-(carb-oxy-ethyl-germanium) sesquioxide. It is isostructural with the corresponding Pr compound [Yang et al. (2009). Acta Cryst. E65, m1152-m1153]. The Nd(3+) cation is nine-coordinated and its coordination polyhedron can be described as a distorted tricapped trigonal prism. Two Nd(3+) ions are connected by two O atoms from two oxalate ions to give a dinuclear Nd(2) unit. The unit is further linked to four others via four oxalate ions yielding a layerparallel to (0-11). The linkages between the layers by neighbouring oxalate anions lead to a three-dimensional framework with channels along the c axis. The coordinating and free water mol-ecules are located in the channels and make contact with each other and the host framework by weak O-H?O hydrogen bonds.

The central Sm(III) ion is nine-coordinated by four O-donor atoms from separate bidentate bridging ox ligands and five O-donor atoms from the two ina ligands (both bidentate) and a symmetry-related ina ligand [Sm-O = 2.389?(4)-2.791?(4)?Å], giving a distorted monocapped square anti-prismatic geometry. The Ag(I) ion is three-coordinated in a T-shaped geometry involving two ina N-donor atoms [Ag-N = 2.181?(6) and 2.185?(5)?Å] and a bridging oxalate O-donor atom [Ag-O = 2.620?(4)?Å]. The three-dimensional heterometallic Sm-Ag coordination polymer, having a unique (3,4,6)-connected five-nodal net topology, is constructed from two-dimensional samarium-oxalate layers and pillared Ag(ina)(2) subunits. Inter-molecular water-carboxyl-ate O-H?O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions are also present.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, {[AgNd(C(6)H(4)NO(2))(2)(C(2)O(4))]·2H(2)O}(n), contains one Nd(III) atom, one Ag(I) atom, one oxalate ligand, two nicotinate ligands and two uncoordinated water mol-ecules. The Nd(III) atom is eight-coordinated in a distorted square-anti-prismatic coordination geometry by four O atoms from two oxalate ligands and four O atoms from four nicotinate ligands. The Ag(I) atom has a T-shaped configuration, defined by two N atoms from two nicotinate ligands and one O atom from one oxalate ligand. The nicotinate and oxalate ligands link the Nd and Ag atoms into a three-dimensional coordination framework. O-H?O and O-H?N hydrogen bonds donated by water mol-ecules are observed in the crystal.

Project description:The title complex, [Dy(C(8)H(6)NO(4))(C(2)O(4))(H(2)O)](n), is a dysprosium coordination polymer with mixed anions and was obtained under hydrothermal conditions. In the structure, the oxalate and 5-amino-isophthalate ligands link the dysprosium ions, building up a two-dimensional metal-organic framework parallel to the (10) plane. These sheets are further connected through O-H?O, N-H?O and C-H?O hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional supra-molecular structure.
