Familial encephalopathy with neuroserpin inclusion bodies is a neurodegenerative disorder characterized by the accumulation of neuroserpin polymers in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) of cortical and subcortical neurons in the CNS because of neuroserpin point mutations.
