(E)-2-(4-Hy-droxy-3-meth-oxy-benzyl-idene)hydrazinecarboxamide.

ABSTRACT: The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(9)H(11)N(3)O(3), consists of two crystallographically independent mol-ecules. Both mol-ecules are almost planar, with r.m.s. deviations of 0.107 and 0.099 Å. In the crystal, the two independent mol-ecules form a dimer with an R(2) (2)(8) ring motif via N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. The dimers are further linked into a three-dimensional network by O-H⋯O and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

Project description:In the title compound, C(9)H(11)N(3)O(3), two mol-ecules are present in the asymmetric unit in which the 4-hy-droxy-3-meth-oxy-benzaldehyde and hydrazinecarboxamide units are almost planar [with r.m.s. deviations 0.0212 and 0.0066?Å, respectively, in one mol-ecule and 0.0346 and 0.0095?Å, respectively, in the other] and are oriented at dihedral angles of 9.7?(3) and 16.6?(3)°. In both mol-ecules, two S(5) ring motifs are present due to N-H?N and O-H?O hydrogen bonds. In the crystal, the mol-ecules are dimerized with each other due to pairs of N-H?O hydrogen bonds, forming an R(2) (2)(8) ring motif. O-H?O hydrogen bonds lead to the formation of a three-dimensional network.

Project description:The title compound, C10H13N3O3, adopts an E conformation with respect to the azomethine bond and crystallizes in the amide form. A classical intra-molecular O-H?N hydrogen bond is present. The two N atoms of the hydrazinecarboxamide unit are also involved in inter-molecular N-H?O hydrogen bonds, with the O atom of the hydrazinecarboxamide group acting as the acceptor. Pairs of N-H?O hydrogen bond link the mol-ecules into centrosymmetric dimers, which are linked by further N-H?O hydrogen bonds into chains along the b axis. The chains are linked by C-H?? inter-actions.

Project description:The mol-ecule of the title benzohydrazide derivative, C(15)H(14)N(2)O(4), exists in a trans conformation with respect to the C=N double bond and is twisted, the dihedral angle between the two benzene rings being 24.17?(6)°. The meth-oxy group is almost co-planar with respect to the attached benzene ring [C(m)-O-C-C (m = meth-yl) = -1.45?(17)°]. In the crystal, the mol-ecules are linked by N-H?O and O-H?O hydrogen bonds into sheets parallel to the bc plane.
