ABSTRACT: In the title compound, C(11)H(12)O(2), the six-membered ketone ring fused to the 7-meth-oxy benzene ring adopts a slightly distorted envelope configuration with the central methyl-ene C atom being the flap. The crystal packing is stabilized by weak inter-molecular C-H?O and C-H?? inter-actions, which lead to supra-molecular layers in the bc plane.
