[3,3'-Dihy-droxy-3,3'-bis-(pyridin-3-yl-κN)-1,1'-(pyridine-2,6-di-yl)dipropan-1-one](nitrato-κO,O')silver(I).

ABSTRACT: In the title compound, a new macrocyclic metal complex, [Ag(NO(3))(C(21)H(15)N(3)O(4))], all non-H atoms are in a close-to-planar geometry (except for the nitrate anion), with a maximum out-of-plane deviation of 0.327 (6) Å for a pyridine C atom. The dihedral angle between the least-squares plane through the [3,3'-dihy-droxy-3,3'-bis-(pyridin-3-yl)-1,1'-(pyridine-2,6-di-yl)dipropan-1-one]silver(I) fragment and the nitrate anion is 31.29 (13)°. The mol-ecular structure is stabilized by several inter- and intra-molecular O-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. The Ag(I) atom is coordinated by two pyridine N atoms and two O atoms of the nitrate anion in a geometry intermediate between tetrahedral and square-planar.

Project description:In the mononuclear title complex, [Gd(C(7)H(5)O(3))(2)(NO(3))(C(12)H(8)N(2))(2)], the Gd atom is in a pseudo-bicapped square-anti-prismatic geometry formed by four N atoms from two chelating 1,10-phenanthroline (phen) ligands and by six O atoms, four from two 2,6-dihy-droxy-benzoate (DHB) ligands and the other two from a nitrate anion. π-π stacking inter-actions between phen-DHB [centroid-centroid distances = 3.5334 (18) and 3.8414 (16) Å] and phen-phen [face-to-face separation = 3.4307 (17) Å] ligands of adjacent complex molecules stabilize the crystal structure. Intra-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds are observed in the DHB ligands.

Intra-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds are observed in the DHB ligands.

Project description:In the title complex, [Ag(NO3)(C10H9N3)4], the nitrate ligand is found to be disordered over two sets of positions, with occupancy factors of 0.473 (5) and 0.527 (5). The Ag(I) ion is located in a square-pyramidal coordination environment formed by four N atoms from four bis-(pyridin-2-yl)amine ligands and one O atom from a nitrate ligand. Weak inter-actions between the Ag(I) ions and the nitrate anions acting in a monodentate mode [Ag⋯O = 2.791 (13) and 2.816 (9) Å for the major component of the nitrate ligand, and 2.865 (8) and 2.837 (8) Å for the minor component] link the complex mol-ecules into a chain along [001]. N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds are observed.

Project description:In the title centrosymmetric dimeric Cd(II) complex, [Cd(2)(C(7)H(5)O(4))(4)(C(12)H(8)N(2))(2)(H(2)O)(2)], the Cd(II) cation is coord-inated by a bidentate phenanthroline (phen) ligand, three dihy-droxy-benzoate (dhba) anions and one water mol-ecule in a distorted CdN(2)O(4) octa-hedral geometry. Among the dhba anions, two anions bridge two Cd(II) cations to form the dimeric complex with significant different Cd-O bond distances of 2.2215 (19) and 2.406 (2) Å. The centroid-centroid distance of 3.4615 (19) Å between two nearly parallel benzene rings of the dhba and phen ligands coordinating to the same Cd(II) cation indicates the existence of intra-molecular π-π stacking in the complex. Extensive O-H⋯O hydrogen bonding and inter-molecular weak C-H⋯O hydrogen bonding help to stabilize the crystal structure. One hy-droxy group of the monodentate dhba ligand is disordered over two sites with a site-occupancy ratio of 0.9:0.1.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C12H10BNO5·0.67H2O, contains three independent pyridinylboronic acid esters adopting zwitterionic forms and two water mol-ecules. The six-membered heterocyclic rings in the boronic esters have half-chair conformations and the deviations of the B atoms from the boronate mean planes range from 0.456 (3) to 0.657 (3) Å. All of the B atoms have tetra-hedral coordination environments, with B-O and B-C bond lengths of 1.446 (4)-1.539 (3) and 1.590 (5)-1.609 (5) Å, respectively. In the crystal, the ester and water mol-ecules are linked into a three-dimensional network by a large number of O-H⋯O, N-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. The crystal packing is further accomplished by π-π inter-actions, with centroid-centroid distances of 3.621 (4)-3.787 (4) Å.
