Project description:In the title compound, C(18)H(16)Cl(2)O(4), the dihedral angle between the benzene rings is 82.40 (4)°. The meth-oxy groups at both meta positions of the 3,4,5-trimeth-oxy-phenyl ring are slightly twisted from the aromatic ring [C-O-C-C = -166.60 (8) and -6.18 (13)°], whereas the meth-oxy group at the para position is almost perpendicular [C-O-C-C = 112.08 (9)°]. The ketone O atom is connected to the 2,4-dichloro-phenyl group through a C(ar)-C(ar)-C-O (ar = aromatic) torsion angle of -116.43 (9)°. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds into infinite chains along the b axis. The crystal structure also features C-H⋯π inter-actions.

Project description:In the title compound, C(24)H(15)Cl(2)N(3)O(3), the C=C double bond is E configured. The 1-phenyl-1H-pyrazole moiety is roughly planar (r.m.s. deviation of all fitted non-H atoms = 0.0780?Å), but the mean planes of the two components are inclined at an angle of 9.95?(7)°. The mean plane defined by the non-H atoms of the 1H-pyrazole ring encloses angles of 9.95?(7), 24.54?(6) and 43.02?(6)° with the mean planes of the different benzene rings. In the crystal, C-H?O contacts are present and result in the formation of a double-layer two-dimensional network lying parallel to (110). The shortest inter-centroid distance between two aromatic systems is 3.5455?(7)?Å and is apparent between two pyrazole systems. Further ?-? inter-actions are manifest between a pair of 4-nitro-phenyl rings [centroid-to-centroid distance = 3.6443?(7)?Å] and a pair of 2,4-dichloro-phenyl rings [centroid-to-centroid distance = 3.7797?(7)?Å].

Project description:In the title chalcone derivative, C(13)H(8)Cl(2)OS, the prop-2-en-1-one unit and the thio-phene and 2,4-dichloro-phenyl rings are each essentially planar. The inter-planar angle between the thio-phene and 2,4-dichloro-phenyl rings is 19.87 (6)°. Weak intra-molecular C-H⋯O and C-H⋯Cl inter-actions involving the prop-2-en-1-one unit generate an S(5)S(5) ring motif. In the crystal structure, mol-ecules are linked into head-to-tail zigzag chains along the a axis and adjacent chains are cross-linked. These cross-linked chains are arranged into sheets parallel to the ab plane. The crystal structure is stabilized by weak C-H⋯O, C-H⋯Cl and C-H⋯π inter-actions. A π-π inter-action was also observed with a centroid-centroid distance of 3.6845 (6) Å.

The dihedral angle between the mean planes of the benzene rings are 77.5?(2) and 89.8?(8)°in the two mol-ecules. In the crystal, weak C-H?F and C-H?O inter-actions involving the half-occupied H and F atoms are observed. Weak ?-? stacking inter-actions [centroid-centroid distance = 3.150?(2)?Å] also contribute to the crystal stability.
