ABSTRACT: The title compound, {[Ag(C(19)H(16)N(8))](CF(3)SO(3))}(n), is a coordin-ation polymer with cationic chain motif. The Ag(+) cation is coordinated by two unsubstituted imidazolyl N atoms of two independent 2-paBIM ligands [2-paBIM is bis-{2-[(E)-phenyl-diazen-yl]-1H-imidazol-1-yl}methane]. The shortest Ag?Ag separation in a cationic chain is 8.841?(2)?Å and the dihedral angle between two 2-phenyl-diazenyl-imidazole planes in the same ligand is 74.7?(3)°. Weak C-H?O interactions are seen in the crystal.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(7)H(11)N(3)O(5)S, contains two independent mol-ecules with virtually identical conformations. The imidazole rings of both mol-ecules are essentially planar (r.m.s. deviations = 0.0019 and 0.0038?Å), with a dihedral angle 9.25?(19)° between them. The nitro groups are oriented at 4.5?(2) and 6.44?(13)° with respect to the imidazole rings. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked to form a three-dimensional framework by C-H?O and C-H?N hydrogen bonds.

Project description:In the title salt, [Na(C(16)H(22)N(6))(2)]CF(3)SO(3), the Na(+) cation is coordinated by six N atoms from two tridentate tris-(3,5-dimethyl-pyrazol-1-yl)methane ligands in a distorted octa-hedral geometry. The Na-N distances range from 2.427?(3) to 2.507?(3)?Å, intra-ligand N-Na-N angles range from 74.71?(8) to 79.31?(9)°, and adjacent inter-ligand N-Na-N angles range between 100.42?(9) and 104.97?(9)°. The structure is twinned by inversion [occupancy factors = 0.50?(9)] and the trifluoro-methane-sulfonate anion is disordered, with two end-over-end orientations of unequal occupancy [0.781?(3) and 0.219?(3)].

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title compound, C(14)H(12)NS(+)·CF(3)SO(3) (-), N-H?O hydrogen bonds link cations and anions into ion pairs. Inversely oriented ion pairs form stacks through multidirectional ?-? inter-actions among the acridine units. The crystal structure features a network of C-H?O inter-actions among stacks and also long-range electrostatic inter-actions among ions. In the packing of the mol-ecules, the acridine units are nearly parallel in stacks or inclined at an angle of 33.07?(2)° in the four adjacent stacks with which they inter-act via weak C-H?O inter-actions. The methyl-sulfanyl group is twisted through an angle of 60.53?(2)° with respect to the acridine ring.

Project description:The unusual trinuclear Au(III) oxide title complex, [Au(3)Cl(6)O(C(21)H(24)N(2))(3)](C(2)F(6)NO(4)S(2))·2[Ag(C(2)F(6)NO(4)S(2))], is the side product of the reaction of [1,3-bis-(1,3,5-trimethyl-phen-yl)imidazol-2-yl-idene]dichloridophenyl-gold(III) with silver bis-(trifluoro-methane-sulfon-yl)imide in the presence of traces of water. In contrast to corresponding Au(I) complexes, the core structure of the title compound is planar. Two silver(I) bis-(trifluoro-methane-sulfon-yl)imide units are loosely bound to the complex cation. Here the silver atoms, disordered over two positions in a 0.870?(2):0.130?(2) ratio, inter-act either with the lone pairs of three chlorine ligands or two chlorine ligands and one edge of the mesityl ?-system. The crystal under investigation was a partial racemic twin.

The dinuclear cation is located on a centre of inversion, which is in the middle of the ethyl-ene fragment of the bpe ligand. In the crystal, the pyridyl rings of neighboring dinuclear units are stacked by ?-? inter-actions with centroid-centroid distances of 3.667?(2) and 3.835?(2)?Å. The F and O atoms of the CF(3)SO(3) (-) anions are involved in inter-molecular C-H?F and C-H?O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions, respectively, with -CH groups from the phtpy ligands.
