ABSTRACT: The asymmetric unit of the title neutral rhenium(V) coordination compound, [ReBr(2)(C(10)H(11)N(2)O)O(C(18)H(15)P)], contains two mol-ecules. In each of the two molecules the metal atom is octa-hedrally coordinated, the bromido ligands being cis-orientated. The chelate ligand is present in its imine-tautomeric form. In the crystal, C-H?Br contacts connect the mol-ecules into chains along [101]. The shortest inter-centroid distance between two aromatic rings was found to be 3.906?(2)?Å.

Project description:In the title coordination polymer, [Cu(2)I(2)(C(14)H(14)N(4))(C(18)H(15)P)(2)](n), the Cu(I) atom is coordinated by two I atoms, one P atom and one N atom in a fairly regular tetra-hedral arrangement. A crystallographic inversion centre generates a Cu(2)I(2) diamond with a Cu-Cu separation of 3.0120?(5)?Å. The complete N,N'-(1-pyridin-4-yl-ethethyl-idene)-hydrazine mol-ecule is also generated by inversion symmetry, and this bridging ligand leads to [011] polymeric chains in the crystal structure.

Project description:In the mononuclear title complex, [CuI(C(4)H(9)N(3)S)(C(18)H(15)P)(2)], the Cu(I) ion displays a distorted tetra-hedral coordination geometry involving two P atoms of two triphenyl-phosphane mol-ecules, one S atom of a 1-(propan-2-yl-idene)thio-semicarbazide mol-ecule and one iodide ion. In the crystal, C-H?? inter-actions [C-H?centroid distances = 3.443?(3) and 3.788?(3)?Å] and N-H?S hydrogen bonds form layers parallel to (100). An intra-molecular N-H?I hydrogen bond is also observed.

Project description:The crystal structure of the title compound, [Os(C(6)H(7)S)Cl(C(18)H(15)P)(2)(CO)], confirms the formulation as an osmabenzene. There is a slightly distorted octa-hedral coordination environment at the Os(II) ion, with the triphenyl-phosphane ligands mutually trans and the chloride cis to the carbon bearing the -SMe substituent. Within the metallacyclic ring, the C-C distances are appropriate for aromatic bonds and the two Os-C distances are shorter than typical Os-C single bonds. The maximum deviation from the least-squares plane through the osmabenzene ring occurs for the carbon bearing the SMe substituent [0.1037?(18)?Å].

Project description:The title compound, C(21)H(21)O(2)PS(2), was obtained from the corresponding dilithio methandiide by treatment with iodo-methane. The bond lengths and angles deviate considerably from those in the dimetallated compound. These differences are most pronounced in the PCS backbone. While the title compound features C-P and C-S distances of 1.9082?(17) and 1.8348?(17)?Å, respectively, the dianion showed C-P(av) distances shortened by 11% [1.710?(4)?Å] and C-S distances shortened by 12% [1.614?(3)?Å]. Additionally, the P-C-S angle experiences a contraction by methyl-ation of the dianion from 121.4?(2) to 111.96?(9)° in the title compound.
