The nuclei are 3.1414?(2)?Å apart. The mol-ecule exhibits a twofold symmetry axis. Stacks of the compound are formed through inter-molecular C-H?Cl inter-actions, while the tetra-hydro-furan (THF) solvate is further attached to the stacks through weak C-H?O hydrogen bonding from the THF O atom to two separate H atoms on the complex.

Project description:Structural characterization of the ionic title complex, [MgBr(THF)5][Co(dpbz)2]·2THF [THF is tetra-hydro-furan, C4H8O; dpbz is 1,2-bis-(di-phenyl-phosphan-yl)benzene, C30H24P2], revealed a well-separated cation and anion co-crystallized with two THF solvent mol-ecules that inter-act with the cation via weak C-H?O contacts. The geometry about the cobalt center is pseudo-tetra-hedral, as is expected for a d 10 metal center, only deviating from an ideal tetra-hedral geometry because of the restrictive bite angles of the bidentate phosphane ligands. Three THF ligands of the cation and one co-crystallized THF solvent mol-ecule are each disordered over two orientations. In the extended structure, the cations and THF solvent mol-ecules are arranged in (100) sheets that alternate with layers of anions, the latter of which show various ?-inter-actions, which may explain the particular packing arrangement.

Project description:The title complex, [Au(2)Cl(2)(C(26)H(21)NP(2))], has an intra-molecular Au?Au inter-action of 3.1669?(4)?Å, but no inter-molecular Au?Au inter-actions in the solid state. The Cl-Au-P bond angle of 176.84?(7)° is slightly distorted from linearity. The P-C bond length to the phenyl group is shorter [1.810?(7)?Å] than the P-C bond length [1.876?(7)?Å] to the bridging carbon, indicative of the flexibility of the bidentate bite of the ligand. The C-C N fragment is essentially linear at 179.5?(9)° and the C N bond length of 1.125?(11)?Å indicates predominantly triple-bond character. In the crystal packing, there are no hydrogen-bonding or aurophilic inter-actions between the mol-ecules.

The Sm?Sm distance in the complex is 3.8057?(4)?Å. Parts of the coordinating THF mol-ecule are disordered over two sets of sites in a 0.56?(3):0.44?(3) ratio. The complex and solvent mol-ecules are linked into a three-dimensional structure via C-H?O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(36)H(26)OP(2), comprises two mol-ecules which have slightly different conformations of the phenyl ring substituents. In both mol-ecules, the dibenzofuran unit is close to being planar, with dihedral angles of 3.20 (3) and 1.86 (2)° for the two mol-ecules. Its planarity affects the intra-molecular distances between P atoms, with P⋯P distances of 5.574 (2) and 5.485 (2) Å for the two mol-ecules.
