ABSTRACT: The title compound, C(15)H(16)BrNO, obtained from a two-step reaction, was prepared for use in transition metal chemistry as a phenolic ligand with bulky substituents. Inter-molecular N-H?O and O-H?N hydrogen bonds are present in the crystal structure.
