ABSTRACT: In the title compound, [Ti(C(8)H(13)Si)(C(11)H(21)Si(2))Cl(2)], the Ti(IV) atom is bonded to two Cl atoms, one 1,3-bis-(trimethyl-sil-yl)cyclo-penta-dienyl (Si(2)Cp) and one (trimethyl-sil-yl)cyclo-penta-dienyl ring (SiCp). The Si(2)Cp centroid-titanium distance is 2.0763?(10)?Å and the SiCp centroid-titanium distance is 2.0793?(10)?Å. The angle subtended at the Ti atom by the centroids of both cyclo-penta-dienyl rings is 131.22?(4)° and the Cl-Ti-Cl angle is 94.14?(2)°.

In the title compound, [Ti(C(8)H(13)Si)(C(11)H(21)Si(2))Cl(2)], the Ti(IV) atom is bonded to two Cl atoms, one 1,3-bis-(trimethyl-sil-yl)cyclo-penta-dienyl (Si(2)Cp) and one (trimethyl-sil-yl)cyclo-penta-dienyl ring (SiCp). The Si(2)Cp centroid-titanium distance is 2.0763 (10) Å and the SiCp centroid-titanium distance is 2.0793 (10) Å. Project description:The title compound, [Ti(C(15)H(23)N(2)Si)Cl(3)]·0.5C(4)H(8)O, has been prepared from {2-[2-(?(5)-cyclo-penta-dien-yl)-2-methyl-prop-yl]-1H-imidazolyl-?N(1)}bis-(N,N-diethyl-amido-?N)titanium(IV), (C(12)H(14)N(2))Ti(NEt(2))(2), by reaction with excess of Me(3)SiCl in tetra-hydro-furan (THF) at 353?K. The crystal structure contains THF as adduct solvent, disordered around a center of inversion. The presence of THF and the adduct ratio has been independently supported by (1)H NMR spectroscopy. The coordination polyhedron of the Ti atom is distorted square-pyramidal, assuming the cyclo-penta-dienyl (Cp) ring occupies one coordination site. The Ti, Si and CH(2) group C atoms only deviate slightly from the imidazole ring plane [by 0.021?(4), 0.133?(4) and 0.094?(4)?Å, respectively]. Comparison of the principal geometric parameters with those of the few known structurally characterized analogues reveal small differences in bond lengths and angles at the Ti atom. The title complex is only stable in THF-d(8) in the presence of excess Me(3)SiCl, otherwise it exists in an equilibrium with equimolar amounts of dichlorido{2-[2-(?(5)-cyclo-penta-dien-yl)-2-methyl-prop-yl]-1H-imidazolyl-?N(3)}titanium(IV) and chloro-trimethyl-silane.

Project description:The title compound, [Ti(C(10)H(15))(C(20)H(26)Si)], was obtained from the reaction of [Ti{?(5):?(1)-C(5)Me(4)(CH(2))}(?(5)-C(5)Me(5))] with the alkynylsilane PhC(2)SiMe(2)H. The complex crystallizes with two independent mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit, which differ in the conformation of the propenyl unit, resulting in their having opposite helicity. No inter-molecular inter-actions or inter-actions involving the Si-H bond are present. The observed geometrical parameters are unexceptional compared to known structures of the same type.

Project description:The chemically achiral title mol-ecule, [Ti(C(4)H(10)N)(2)(C(21)H(16)N(2))], crystallizes in the chiral space group P2(1). All three N atoms coordinating to the Ti(IV) atom adopt planar environments [sums of valence angles = 359.5?(6), 360.0?(7) and 360.0?(6)°], which is indicative of p?-d? donation from all of these N atoms to the metal and, thus, of the formal 18?e(-) nature of the complex. The overall coordination about the Ti(IV) atom is distorted tetra-hedral, assuming the cyclo-penta-dienyl ring occupies one coordination site. The Ti-N(imidazole) amide-type bond is longer by approximately 0.16?Å than the other two Ti-N(amide) bonds.

Project description:The mol-ecule of the title organometallic hafnium(IV) com-pound, [Hf(CH3)3(C13H21)] or [HfMe3(?(5)-C5H3-1,3- (t) Bu2)], adopts the classical three-legged piano-stool geometry for mono-cyclo-penta-dienylhafnium(IV) derivatives with the three methyl groups bonded to the Hf(IV) atom at the legs. The C atoms of the two tert-butyl group bonded to the cyclo-penta-dienyl (Cp) ring are 0.132?(5) and 0.154?(6)?Å above the Cp least-squares plane. There are no significant inter-molecular inter-actions present between the mol-ecules in the crystal structure.

Project description:The title mol-ecule, [ZrBr(2)(C(12)H(14)Si)], possesses a crystallographically imposed twofold rotational symmetry with the rotation axis passing through the Zr and Si atoms. The Zr(IV) centre is in a distorted tetra-hedral environment defined by two Cp rings of chelating organic ligands and two Br anions. Two five-membered rings form a dihedral angle of 59.7 (2)°. Unequal Zr-C bonds [2.471 (3)-2.556 (3) Å] in the mol-ecule indicate that the inter-action of the central metal with the [(C(5)H(4))(2)SiMe(2)](2-) ligand contains noticeable η(3)-allyl and η(2)-olefin contributions.

Each Ti(IV) atom is coordinated by one Cp ligand, one vin-yloxy unit and two bridging imido groups in a strongly distorted tetra-hedral geometry. There are two half mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit, such that whole mol-ecules being generated by inversion symmetry.
