ABSTRACT: In the heterocyclic title compound, C(17)H(19)N(5)O(3), the quinazolinone ring system forms a dihedral angle of 67.22?(7)° with the triazole ring. The butyl acetate group has a non-linear conformation, with an alternation of synclinal and anti-periplanar torsion angles [N-C-C-C = 58.5?(2)°, C-C-C-C = 170.72?(19)° and C-C-C-O = -65.9?(3)°]. The crystal structure features inter-molecular C-H?N and C-H?O non-classical hydrogen bonds, building an infinite one-dimensional network along the [100] direction.

Project description:The title compound, C16H19N5O, is built up from a planar quinoxalinone ring system linked through a methyl-ene bridge to a 1,2,3-triazole ring, which in turn carries an n-butyl substituent. The triazole ring is inclined by 67.09 (4)° to the quinoxalinone ring plane. In the crystal, the mol-ecules form oblique stacks along the a-axis direction through inter-molecular C-HTrz⋯NTrz (Trz = triazole) hydrogen bonds, and offset π-stacking inter-actions between quinoxalinone rings [centroid-centroid distance = 3.9107 (9) Å] and π-π inter-actions, which are associated pairwise by inversion-related C-HDhydqn⋯π(ring) (Dhydqn = di-hydro-quinoxaline) inter-actions. The Hirshfeld surface analysis of the crystal structure indicates that the most important contributions for the crystal packing are from H⋯H (52.7%), H⋯N/N⋯H (18.9%) and H⋯C/C⋯H (17.0%) inter-actions.

Project description:The reaction of 1,5-dibenzyl-3-propargyl-1,5-benzodiazepine-2,4-dione with ethyl azido-acetate in the presence of copper sulfate pentahydrate and sodium ascorbate leads to the formation of the title regioisomer, C(30)H(29)N(5)O(4), which features a phenyl-ene ring fused with a seven-membered diazepinyl ring. The latter ring adopts a boat conformation (with the methyl-triazolylacetate-bearing C atom as the prow and the fused-ring C atoms as the stern). The benzyl groups connected to the diazepinyl ring jprotrude from the sides; the methyl-triazolylacetate substituent occupies an axial position.
