ABSTRACT: In the crystal structure of the title compound, C(4)H(10)NO(+)·C(6)HCl(2)O(4) (-)·CH(4)O, the components are held together by bifurcated O-H?(O,O), O-H?(O,Cl) and N-H?(O,O) hydrogen bonds into a centrosymmetric 2+2+2 aggregate. The aggregates are further connected by another bifurcated N-H?(O, O) hydrogen bond, forming a double-tape structure along the b axis. A weak C-H?O inter-action is observed between the tapes.

Project description:In the crystal of the title compound, C(8)H(12)N(5) (+)·C(4)H(5)O(4) (-)·CH(3)OH, the hydrogen succinate anions form infinite [010] chains via short, almost symmetrical, O?H?O hydrogen bonds. The 2-phenyl-biguanidium cations inter-connect these chains into layers lying parallel to the bc plane by way of N-H?O links. These planes only weakly inter-act in the direction of the a axis via C-H?? contacts between offset phenyl rings, leaving as much as 17% of the unit-cell volume accessible for the solvent. However, the methanol solvent mol-ecules could not be resolved due to extensive disorder and their assumed presence was removed from the overall scattering by the PLATON SQUEEZE procedure.

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title compound, C(4)H(5)N(2) (+)·C(6)HCl(2)O(4) (-), there are three crystallographically independent 1,2-diazinium cations and hydrogen chloranilate anions. The anions are held together by pairs of O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds to form two types of dimers, one of which is centrosymmetric. The 1,2-diazinium cations are linked on both sides of each dimer via bifurcated N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds to give two kinds of 2-2 cation-anion associations. The 2-2 associations are linked by inter-molecular C-H⋯O and C-H⋯N hydrogen bonds, forming a mol-ecular tape along the [230] direction. The tapes are further connected by C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional network.

Project description:In the title compound, C(4)H(10)NO(+)·Br(-), which was synthesized by dehydration of diethano-lamine with HBr, morpholinium and bromide ions are linked into chains by N-H?Br hydrogen bonds describing a C(2) (1)(4) graph-set motif. Weaker bifurcated N-H?Br inter-actions join centrosymmetrically related chains through alternating binary graph-set R(4) (2)(8) and R(2) (2)(4) motifs, to form ladders along [100]. Project description:The anti-biotic nitro-furan-toin {systematic name: (E)-1-[(5-nitro-2-fur-yl)methyl-idene-amino]-imidazolidine-2,4-dione} crys-tallizes as a methanol monosolvate, C(8)H(6)N(4)O(5)·CH(4)O. The nitro-furan-toin mol-ecule adopts a nearly planar conformation (r.m.s. deviation = 0.0344?Å). Hydrogen bonds involve the co-operative N-H?O-H?O heterosynthons between the cyclic imide of nitro-furan-toin and methanol O-H groups. There are also C-H?O hydrogen bonds involving the nitro-furan-toin mol-ecules which support the key hydrogen-bonding synthon. The overall crystal packing is further assisted by weak C-H?O inter-actions, giving a herringbone pattern.
