ABSTRACT: In the title compound, C(23)H(17)ClN(2), the dihedral angle between the indole ring and the attached tolyl ring is 86.97?(8)°. Weak C-H?N(nitrile) hydrogen bonding, and C-H??(aromatic) and short Cl??(aromatic) [3.628?(1)?Å] inter-actions consolidate the crystal packing.
