ABSTRACT: The title compound, C(20)H(26)O(6)S, synthesized by the reaction of 3-O-meth-oxy-methyl-16?-epiestriol and sulfonyl-diimidazole, is composed of a 3-meth-oxy-methyl group connected via two O atoms to a 16,17-O-sulfuryl-16-epiestriol group. In the crystal, weak inter-molecular C-H?O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into [001] chains.

Project description:The title salt, C(8)H(11)N(2)O(+)·HSO(4) (-), has been synthesized by the reaction between 4-meth-oxy-benzamidine and sulfuric acid. The asymmetric unit comprises a nonplanar 4-meth-oxy-benzamidinium cation and one hydrogen sulfate anion. In the cation, the amidinium group has two identical C-N bonds [1.306?(2) and 1.308?(2)?Å], and its plane forms a dihedral angle of 6.49?(8)° with the mean plane of the benzene ring. The ionic components are associated in the crystal via N-H(+)?O(-), resulting in chains running approximately along the b-axis direction whicg are interconnected by O-H?O(-) hydrogen bonds.

Project description:In the title compound, C30H28N2O6, the pyran ring adopts a slightly distorted half-chair conformation and the pyrone ring adopts an envelope conformation, with the C atom bearing the carboxyl-ate group as the flap. The pyrazole ring [maximum deviation = 0.002 (2) Å] forms a dihedral angle of 13.2 (1)° with the attached benzene ring. The near-planar atoms of the pyran ring and the pyrazole ring are close to coplanar, the dihedral angles between their mean planes being 6.4 (1)°. The dihedral angle between the pyrone ring and the benzene ring of the chromene unit is 10.7 (1)°. The mol-ecular conformation is stabilized by an intra-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bond, which generates an S(6) ring motif. In the crystal, C-H⋯O inter-actions generate supra-molecular chains propagating in [100] and these are connected into double layers that stack along the c-axis direction by weak π-π inter-actions between pyrazole rings [centroid-centroid distance = 3.801 (1) Å].

Project description:The title compound, [Cu2(C9H10NO2)4], is built of discrete centrosymmetric dimers. The Cu(II) atoms are each five coordinated by two deprotonated Schiff base ligands that are bonded differently to the metal atoms. Of the two phenolate O atoms, one is coordinated to one Cu(II) atom, whereas another bridges the two metal atoms. The basal plane of the square pyramid around Cu(II) atoms is formed by the imino N and phenolate O atoms of the bidentate and the monodentate/bidentate Schiff base ligands. The bridging phenolate oxygen occupies the apical position of the coordination sphere with a considerably longer Cu-O bond length. In the crystal, the dimeric mol-ecules pack relative to each other in such a way that the Cu2O2 planes of adjacent dimers are orthogonal.

Project description:The title compound [MOM-SalB; systematic name: methyl (2S,4aR,6aR,7R,9S,10aS,10bR)-2-(3-fur-yl)-9-meth-oxy-meth-oxy-6a,10b-dimethyl-4,10-dioxo-2,4a,5,6,7,8,9,10a-octa-hydro-1H-benzo[f]isochromene-7-carboxyl-ate], C(23)H(30)O(8), is a deriv-ative of the ?-opioid salvinorin A with enhanced potency, selectivity, and duration of action. Superimposition of their crystal structures reveals, surprisingly, that the terminal C and O atoms of the MOM group overlap with the corresponding atoms in salvinorin A, which are separated by an additional bond. This counter-intuitive isosterism is possible because the MOM ether adopts the 'classic anomeric' conformation (gauche-gauche), tracing a helix around the planar acetate of salvinorin A. This overlap is not seen in the recently reported structure of the tetra-hydro-pyranyl ether, which is less potent. The classic anomeric conformation is strongly favoured in alk-oxy-methyl ethers, but not in substituted acetals, which may contribute to their reduced potency. This structure may prove useful in evaluating models of the activated ?-opioid receptor.

Project description:The title compounds, C10H11BrO4, (I), and C9H9BrO4, (II), are derivatives of bromo-hy-droxy-benzoic acids. Compound (II) crystallizes with two independent mol-ecules (A and B) in the asymmetric unit. In both (I) and (II), the O-CH2-O-CH3 side chain is not in its fully extended conformation; the O-C-O-C torsion angle is 67.3 (3) ° in (I), and -65.8 (3) and -74.1 (3)° in mol-ecules A and B, respectively, in compound (II). In the crystal of (I), mol-ecules are linked by C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming C(5) chains along [010]. The chains are linked by short Br⋯O contacts [3.047 (2) Å], forming sheets parallel to the bc plane. The sheets are linked via C-H⋯π inter-actions, forming a three-dimensional architecture. In the crystal of (II), mol-ecules A and B are linked to form R 2 (2)(8) dimers via two strong O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. These dimers are linked into ⋯A-B⋯A-B⋯A-B⋯ [C 2 (2)(15)] chains along [011] by C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. The chains are linked by slipped parallel π-π inter-actions [inter-centroid distances = 3.6787 (18) and 3.8431 (17) Å], leading to the formation of slabs parallel to the bc plane.

Project description:In the title phospho-nate, C19H21O9P, the dihedral angle between the benzene rings is 63.33 (3)°, and the P atom has a distorted tetra-hedral geometry, with angles in the range 101.30 (6)-120.38 (6)°. No significant inter-molecular inter-actions are observed in the crystal structure, and π-π inter-actions between symmetry-related benzene rings are beyond 4 Å.
