ABSTRACT: In the title compound, C(22)H(16)N(2)O(3), the naphthalene ring, the 1,4-dihydro-pyridine ring and the cyclo-pent-2-enone ring are nearly coplanar, with the dihedral angles between the neighbouring rings being 1.93?(11) and 2.30?(9)°, respectively. The benzene ring group at position 7 and the 1,4-dihydro-pyridine ring form a dihedral angle of 78.75?(4)°. Inter-molecular N-H?O hydrogen bonds and C-H?? inter-actions stabilize the crystal packing.

Project description:The title compound, C(7)H(6)OS, crystallizes with two similar mol-ecules, 1 and 2, in the asymmetric unit. Both mol-ecules are essentially planar with r.m.s. deviations of 0.0193 and 0.0107?Å for the planes through the nine non-H atoms of mol-ecules 1 and 2, respectively. The thio-phene and 4,5-dihydro-cyclo-penta-dienone rings are inclined at 2.40?(13)° in 1 and 0.64?(13)° in 2. In the crystal structure ?-? [3.6542?(17)?Å] and C-H?? contacts stack the mol-ecules into columns in an inverse fashion along the b axis. Project description:Ipidacrine (2,3,5,6,7,8-hexa-hydro-1H-cyclo-penta-[b]quinolin-9-amine) was reacted with 4-methoxy-phenyl isocyanate to give the title compound, C(28)H(30)N(4)O(4). An intra-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bond results in an essentially planar [r.m.s. deviation from the mean plane is 0.126 (1) Å] conformation for the biuret unit. The central ring of the quinoline unit is twisted by 78.2 (1)° with respect to the biuret mean plane, whereas the two 4-methoxy-benzene rings are twisted out of this plane by 24.3 (1)° and 48.5 (1)°, resulting in an overall propeller-like structure. An inter-molecular N-H⋯N hydrogen bond between the biuret NH atom and the quinoline ring nitro-gen defines the crystal packing.

Project description:In the title compound, [Ru(3)(C(25)H(23)N)(C(5)H(5))(3)]·3PF(6)·2C(3)H(6)O], the cation is a triruthenium complex of a 9,10-dihydro-anthracene derivative. Three RuCp(+) (Cp is cyclo-penta-dien-yl) groups are bonded to the three aromatic rings of the ligand. Surprisingly, the pyramidalized N atom of the heterocycle (? C-N-C = 329.0°) points towards the anthracenyl group, so losing its coordinative ability. There is an inter-molecular C-H?? inter-action involving an acetone mol-ecule and the adjacent benzyl ring of the ligand. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked via a number of C-H?O and C-H?F inter-actions and a C-H?? inter-action, leading to the formation of a three-dimensional supra-molecular structure. One of the Cp groups is disordered over two positions, with refined occupancies of 0.695?(14):0.305?(14). Two of the three hexa-fluoro-phospate anions are disordered, with refined occupancies of 0.630?(6):0.370?(6) and 0.771?(8):0.229?(8). One of the two solvent acetone mol-ecules is also disordered, with refined occupancies of 0.82?(2):0.18?(2).

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the 1:4 title co-crystal of 2-amino-4-(4-chloro-phen-yl)-5,6-dihydro-benzo[h]quinoline-3-carbonitrile and 3-amino-1-(4-chloro-phen-yl)-9,10-dihydro-phenanthrene-2,4-dicarbonitrile, 0.2C(20)H(14)ClN(3)·0.8C(22)H(14)ClN(3), has the atoms of the fused-ring system and those of the amino, cyano and chloro-phenyl substitutents overlapped. The fused-ring system is buckled owing to the ethyl-ene linkage in the central ring. There are two independent overlapped mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit. In one independent mol-ecule, the two flanking aromatic rings are twisted by 24.4?(1)° and the ring of the chloro-phenyl substituent is twisted by 87.3?(1)° relative to the amino- and cyano-bearing aromatic ring. In the second mol-ecule, the respective dihedral angles are 26.1?(1) and 57.8?(1)°. The two independent mol-ecules are linked by N-H?N hydrogen bonds into dimers.
