Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(5)H(4)F(6)O(3), a polyfluorinated derivative of β-hy-droxy-butyric acid, comprises two mol-ecules. Intra-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds occur. In the crystal, inter-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds give rise to the formation of carb-oxy-lic acid dimers. Along with these hydrogen bonds, C-H⋯O contacts connect the mol-ecules into infinite strands along the a axis.

Project description:The title mol-ecule, C(25)H(22)F(6)N(2)O(3), adopts an open conformation whereby the quinoline and carboxyl-ate ester groups are orientated in opposite directions but to the same side of the piperidine ring so that the mol-ecule has an approximate U-shape. The piperidine ring adopts a distorted boat conformation. In the crystal, inversion dimers linked by pairs of O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds generate R(2) (2)(14) loops.

Project description:The title mol-ecule, C(22)H(24)F(6)N(2)O(3), adopts a folded conformation whereby the carboxyl-ate residue lies over the quinolinyl residue, with the dihedral angle between the carbamate and quinoline planes being 41.64 (7)°. Helical supra-molecular C(7) chains sustained by O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds propagating along the a-axis direction feature in the crystal packing. The F atoms of one of the CF(3) groups are disordered over two orientations; the major component has a site occupancy of 0.824 (7).

Project description:The title compound, [Li(3)(C(4)F(9)O)(3)(C(3)H(6)O)(3)], features an open Li/O cube with an Li ion missing at one corner. Three of the four bridging O atoms of the cube carry a fluorinated tert-butyl residue, whereas the fourth is part of an acetone mol-ecule. Two of the Li atoms are further bonded to a non-bridging acetone mol-ecule. Two of the lithium ion coordination geometries are very distorted LiO(4) tetra-hedra; the third could be described as a very distorted LiO(3) T-shape with two distant F-atom neighbours. The Li?Li contact distances for the three-coordinate Li(+) ion [2.608?(14) and 2.631?(12)?Å] are much shorter that the contact distance [2.940?(13)?Å] between the tetra-hedrally coordinated species.

Project description:In the title compound, C(8)H(7)F(3)N(2)O, the OH and NH(2) substituents adopt a Z configuration with respect to the C=N bond. The hy-droxy-imidamide unit is almost planar (r.m.s. deviation = 0.007?Å) and subtends an angle of 26.25?(13)° with the benzene ring. The F atoms of the trifluoro-methyl substituent are disordered over two sets of sites with an occupancy ratio of 0.783?(15):0.217?(15). In the crystal, O-H?N hydrogen bonds form centrosymmetric dimers. Additional N-H?O hydrogen bonds link the dimers into zigzag chains along the b axis. Weak inter-molecular F?F contacts of 2.714?(5)?Å are also observed.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title salt solvate, C(17)H(17)F(6)N(2)O(+)·C(7)H(5)N(2)O(4) (-)·1.5H(2)O, comprises a piperidin-1-ium cation, a 3-amino-5-nitro-benzoate anion, and three fractionally occupied [i.e. 0.414?(3), 0.627?(6) and 0.459?(5)] disordered water mol-ecules of solvation. The cation has an L shape with a C-C-C-C torsion angle of -102.9?(3)° for the atoms linking the quinolinyl group to the rest of the cation. In the anion, the carboxyl-ate and nitro groups are essentially coplanar with the benzene ring [O-C-C-C torsion angle = 179.7?(2)° and O-N-C-C torsion angle = -3.9?(3)°]. In the crystal, extensive O-H?O, O-H?F and N-H?·O hydrogen bonding leads to the formation of a layer in the ab plane.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, 2C13H14N2O3·C3H10NO3 (+)·Cl(-), contains two independent mol-ecules (A and B) of the title pyrimidine derivative and one ion-pair of tris-(hy-droxy-meth-yl)ammonium chloride. The pyrimidine ring in each pyrimidine derivative has a half-chair conformation. Its mean plane is inclined to the benzene ring by 87.2?(3)° in mol-ecule A and 85.7?(2)° in mol-ecule B. In the crystal, the pyrimidine derivatives are connected to each other by N-H?O hydrogen bonds, forming chains propagating along the b-axis direction. The chains are linked via O-H-Cl hydrogen bonds, forming corrugated sheets lying parallel to the bc plane. The sheets are linked via C-H?O hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional framework. The tris-(hy-droxy-meth-yl)ammonium chloride mol-ecules are located in the cages of the framework. There are also further C-H?O hydrogen bonds and C-H?? inter-actions present in the three-dimensional framework structure. Both the cation and chloride anion of the tris-(hy-droxy-meth-yl)ammonium chloride ion pair are disordered over two positions, with a refined occupancy ratio of 0.418?(8):0.582?(8) for the cation and 0.71?(4):0.29?(4) for the anion.
