ABSTRACT: The title compound, C(10)H(7)N(5)O(2), was synthesized by the reaction of 4-nitro-aniline and 2,3-dicyano-propionic acid ethyl ester. In the crystal, N-H?O and C-H?O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules, forming a three-dimensional network.

Project description:In the title pyrazole derivative, C(11)H(11)N(3)O(2), the benzene ring is twisted [dihedral angle = 31.38 (12)°] with respect to the pyrazole ring (r.m.s. deviation = 0.009 Å). The nitro group is effectively coplanar with the benzene ring to which it is attached [O-N-C-C torsion angle = -6.5 (3)°]. Supra-molecular chains along the b axis are formed owing to π-π inter-actions [3.8653 (2) Å] between translationally related mol-ecules involving both the five- and six-membered rings.

Project description:In the mol-ecule of the title compound, C(12)H(11)ClN(4)O(4), the pyrazole ring is coplanar with the amino and ethoxy-carbonyl groups within 0.026?(2) and 0.105?(2)?Å, respectively. The C(6) ring of the 4-chloro-2-nitro-phenyl group is twisted by 53.58?(4)° relative to the plane of the pyrazole ring. The planar structure of the pyrazole ring is stabilized by an intra-molecular N-H?O hydrogen bond between its substituents. Neighbouring mol-ecules are linked through inter-molecular N-H?N and N-H?O hydrogen bonds, giving rise to one-dimensional tapes along the b axis. Mol-ecules in the chain are linked to those of an adjacent chain through weak C-H?O inter-actions, forming a three-dimensional network.

The pyrano[2,3-c]pyrazole system is essentially planar, with a maximum deviation of 0.026?(2)?Å. The 3-nitro-phenyl and phenyl rings make dihedral angles of 81.11?(5) and 13.36?(1)°, respectively, with the mean plane of the pyrano[2,3-c]pyrazole ring. The crystal structure is stabilized by N-H?N hydrogen bonds, which form infinite chain propagating along the c axis and by N-H?O hydrogen bonds, which form infinite chains propagating along the a axis. There are also N-O?N-C dipole-dipole inter-actions along the a axis with an O?N distance of 3.061?(3)?Å, which is shorter than that of the N-H?O hydrogen bond [3.196?(3)?Å].

Project description:The title co-crystal, 3-(4-fluoro-phen-yl)-1H-pyrazole-5-(4-fluoro-phen-yl)-1H-pyrazole (1/1), C9H7FN2, crystallizes with four independent mol-ecules (A, B, C and D) in the asymmetric unit exhibiting two tautomeric forms (A and D; B and C) due to N-H proton exchange between the two N atoms of the pyrazole ring. The dihedral angles between the mean planes of the pyrazole and benzene rings are 15.6?(1), 19.8?(9), 14.0?(1) and 10.7?(7)° in mol-ecules A, B, C and D, respectively. In the crystal, N-H?N hydrogen bonds link the four mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit into a ring with an R 4 (4)(12) motif. Furthermore, weak C-H?F inter-actions link the mol-ecules into a three-dimensional network.
