ABSTRACT: The title compound, C(17)H(16)O(5), was prepared through a cyclization reaction of 2-(3',4',5-trimeth-oxy-biphenyl-2-yl-oxy)acetyl chloride. The two benzene rings form a dihedral angle of 34.55?(5)°. The crystal structure does not feature any hydrogen bonds.

In the crystal, N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds between the amino group and the carbonyl O atom of the oxepinone ring link the mol-ecules into infinte chains along the c axis.

Project description:In the title compound, C(23)H(21)NO(5), the two benzene rings of the tricyclic unit are oriented at a dihedral angle of 37.5 (8)°. The 2,4-dimeth-oxy-anilino residue is oriented at a dihedral angle of 60.2 (8)° towards the phen-oxy ring. In the crystal, the central carbonyl O atom accepts two hydrogen bonds from the N-H and C-H groups. A further inter-molecular C-H⋯O inter-action involving one of the meth-oxy O atoms is also observed.

Project description:The title compound, C(15)H(14)O(5), is a natural product, isolated from Sorbus lanata Syn. Pyrus lanata (D. Don) found in Pakistan. The compound is composed of three spiro-fused rings. The dihedral angle between the mean planes of the benzene rings is 4.81?(13)°. The meth-oxy groups are oriented at dihedral angles of 74.44?(14), 83.0?(2) and 66.3?(2)° with respect to the planes of the benzene rings to which they are attached. The mol-ecule is consolidated by three intra-molecular O-H?O and C-H?O hydrogen bonds. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by inter-molecular O-H?O hydrogen bonds, forming infinite chains along the b axis.

Project description:In the title aza-flavanone, C(18)H(19)NO(4), an intra-molecular cyclization product of chalcone, the central heterocyclic ring is in an envelope conformation and the dihedral angle between the benzene rings is 51.03?(10)°. The meth-oxy groups at the ortho and para positions are slightly twisted from the benzene ring to which they are bound [C-O-C-C = 21.9?(3) and -171.93?(18)°, respectively], whereas the meth-oxy group at the meta position is almost coplanar [C-O-C-C = 3.5?(3)°]. Project description:The hetero-tetra-cene skeleton of the title mol-ecule, C23H14Br2N2OS, is defined by linear annulation of four six-membered rings, including two N heteroatoms. This moiety is nearly planar (r.m.s. deviation = 0.055 Å), with a slight twist of 4.1 (2)° between the two halves of the aromatic system. The dihedral angle between the least-squares plane of the skeleton and the benzyl group is 24.5 (3)°; the C-S-C angle involving the benzyl-sulfanyl group is 99.2 (4)°. In the crystal, mol-ecules are π-stacked in an anti-parallel fashion along [110], with a distance between the aromatic planes of 3.47 (2) Å. Inter-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds form chains extending parallel to [001] and bridge the anti-parallel inter-digitated stacks of mol-ecules.
