1,1'-[(2-Phenyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-benz-imidazole-1,3-di-yl)bis-(methyl-ene)]bis-(1H-benzotriazole).

ABSTRACT: The imidazole ring in the title compound, C(27)H(22)N(8), adopts a slight envelope conformation with the C atom carrying the phenyl ring being the flap atom. The phenyl ring is almost perpendicular to the mean plane of the imidazole ring [dihedral angle = 88.90 (7)°]. The (1H-benzotriazol-1-yl)methyl groups bound to the imidazole ring are positioned on the same side of the imidazole ring. The dihedral angle between these benzotriazolyl rings is 17.71 (5)°. The crystal packing is stabilized by a C-H⋯π inter-action, which connects the mol-ecules into zigzag chains running along the b axis.

The crystal packing is further stabilized by weak C-H?? inter-actions.

Project description:The cyclo-hexane ring in the title compound, C(21)H(24)N(8), adopts a chair conformation and the five-membered heterocyclic ring to which it is fused adopts a twist conformation on their common C-C bond. The substituents on the N atoms of the central five-membered heterocycle are arranged trans with respect to the central ring. The terminal benzotriazole rings are oriented at angles of 74.66?(8) and 84.18?(8)° with respect to the mean plane of the central heterocycle. The angle between the two benzotriazole rings is 30.80?(9)°. The bond lengths and angles are within normal ranges; the largest deviation from expecta-tion is for a long N-CH(2) bond length [1.476?(2)?Å] as a consequence of an anomeric effect. In the crystal, mol-ecules are connected by C-H?N hydrogen bonds.

Project description:The title compound, C23H30N2O4, a di-Mannich base derived from 4-meth-oxy-phenol and cis-1,2-di-amine-cyclo-hexane, has a perhydro-benzimidazolidine nucleus, in which the cyclo-hexane ring adopts a chair conformation and the heterocyclic ring has a half-chair conformation with a C-N-C-C torsion angles of -48.14 (15) and -14.57 (16)°. The mean plane of the heterocycle makes dihedral angles of 86.29 (6) and 78.92 (6)° with the pendant benzene rings. The mol-ecular structure of the title compound shows the presence of two inter-actions between the N atoms of the imidazolidine ring and the hydroxyl groups through intra-molecular O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds with graph-set motif S(6). The unobserved lone pairs of the N atoms are presumed to be disposed in a syn conformation, being only the second example of an exception to the typical 'rabbit-ears' effect in 1,2-di-amines.

Project description:The fused-ring system of the title compound, C(27)H(28)N(2)O(7), which comprises one five- and three six-membered rings, is approximately planar (r.m.s. deviation = 0.133?Å), the system being buckled along the axis passing through the O atoms of the anthraquinone portion of the mol-ecule. Within the anthraquinone portion, the two benzene rings are aligned at 7.3?(2)°. In the crystal, one of the tert-butyl groups is disordered over two sets of sites in a 1:1 ratio. Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(19)H(18)N(2)O(3), comprises a whole organic dipyridinone mol-ecule plus a water mol-ecule of crystallization. The planes of the pyridinone rings are approximately perpendicular with the plane of the central aromatic ring [dihedral angles = 80.68 (8) and 83.65 (8)°]. The C-O bond of the hy-droxy group subtends an angle of 31.71 (10)° with the plane through the central aromatic ring. The crystal packing is mediated by the presence of several O-H⋯O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions and while the water mol-ecules form a C(2) (1)(4) chain parallel to the c axis of the unit cell, the pendant hy-droxy groups are engaged in O-H⋯O=C hydrogen bonds described by a C(1) (1)(12) graph-set motif which runs parallel to the a axis.

Project description:The title compound, C(23)H(17)F(2)NO, which crystallizes with two independent mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit, was prepared by the cyclization of 4-[2-bis-(4-fluoro-phen-yl)methyl-eneamino]but-3-yn-1-ol at room temperature. The mol-ecules display a tripod conformation. The two fluoro-phenyl rings make dihedral angles of 79.26 (2) and 85.87 (1)° [86.53 (1) and 83.67 (2)° in the second mol-ecule] with the indole ring, and the dihedral angles between the fluoro-phenyl rings are 67.74 (2) and 66.33 (2)°, respectively. Furthermore, the indole rings are located on the edge of the respective oxazine half-chair ring systems. Nonconventional C-H⋯π contacts between indole and fluoro-phenyl rings are observed.
