ABSTRACT: In the title complex, cis-[PtCl(4)(C(3)H(4)N(2))(2)], the Pt(IV) ion lies on a twofold rotation axis and is coordinated in a slightly distorted octa-hedral geometry. The dihedral angle between the imidazole rings is 69.9?(2)°. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by N-H?Cl hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional network.

The main geometric parameters are Pt-N = 1.960 (5) Å, and Pt-Cl = 2.3177 (12) and 2.3196 (12) Å. The N C bond is a typical triple bond [1.137 (7) Å]. The Pt-N C-C unit is almost linear, with Pt-N-C and N-C-C angles of 174.6 (4) and 177.1 (6)°, respectively.

Project description:In the title compound, [CuCl(C(9)H(12)N(4))(2)]Cl·0.5CH(3)OH·4H(2)O, the Cu(II) ion adopts a distorted trigonal-bipyramidal coordination arising from two bidentate ligands and a Cl(-) anion. The two heterocyclic ligands are planar with dihedral angles of 3.4?(1) and 0.7?(1)° between the pyrazole and imidazole rings. In the crystal, water mol-ecules and uncoordinated chloride anions form an O-H?Cl and O-H?O hydrogen-bonded sheet parallel to (100) which lies between two layers of complex mol-ecules. The packing is further stabilized by C-H?Cl and C-H?O hydrogen bonds. The methanol solvent mol-ecule is disordered across a centre of inversion.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(27)H(20)N(2), contains two independent mol-ecules, A and B. In both mol-ecules, the N atom in the 1-position and the C atom in the 5-position are statistically disordered [as 0.571?(8):0.429?(8) in A and 0.736?(9):0.264?(9) in B]. The phenyl rings in the 1-, 2-, 4- and 5-positions in A are twisted from the central imidazole ring by 84.3?(2), 21.6?(2), 21.5?(2) and 75.7?(2)°, respectively. Project description:In the title compound, [Ni(C7H12N2)4(H2O)2]Cl2, the nickel(II) ion has a distorted octa-hedral coordination environment. It is surrounded by three N atoms and one O atom occupying the equatorial plane, and one N and one O atom in the axial positions. The imidazole ring systems are inclined to one another with dihedral angles varying between 38.3?(4) and 74.1?(4)°. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked via O-H?Cl hydrogen bonds involving one Cl(-) anion and the water mol-ecule in the equatorial plane, forming an inversion dimer-like arrangement. The water mol-ecule in the axial position is hydrogen-bonded to both Cl(-) anions. There are also a number of C-H?Cl hydrogen bonds present, forming a three-dimensional structure. Project description:The Co centre in the title compound, [Co(C(14)H(11)N(2)O(2))(2)Cl(C(3)H(4)N(2))]·0.5H(2)O, shows a slightly distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry. The glyoximate units of the mol-ecule are linked by O-H?O hydrogen bonds with the H atom almost in the middle of the two O atoms. The crystal packing is stabilized through inter-molecular N-H?O, N-H?N and O-H?Cl hydrogen bonds. The uncoordinated water mol-ecule shows half-occupation.

Project description:The title compound, [Fe(C(6)H(4)N(5))(2)Cl(H(2)O)], was synthesized by hydro-thermal reaction of FeCl(3) with 2-(1H-tetra-zol-5-yl)pyridine. The iron(III) metal centre exhibits a distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry provided by four N atoms from two bidentate organic ligands, one water O atom and one chloride anion. The Yb(III) ion is seven-coordinated, in a monocapped trigonal prismatic coordination geometry, by six O atoms from three imidazole-4,5-dicarboxyl-ate ligands and one water O atom. Both Co(II) ions are six-coordinated in a slightly distorted octa-hedral geometry. The Co(II) ion that is located on an inversion center is coordinated by two O atoms from two water mol-ecules, as well as two O atoms and two N atoms from two imidazole-4,5-dicarboxyl-ate ligands. The second Co(II) ion is bonded to four O atoms and two N atoms from four imidazole-4,5-dicarboxyl-ate ligands. These metal coordination units are connected by bridging imidazole-4,5-dicarboxyl-ate ligands, generating a three-dimensional network. The crystal structure is further stabilized by N-H?O, O-H?O and C-H?O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions involving the water mol-ecules and the imidazole-4,5-dicarboxyl-ate ligands.
