Project description:In the title salt, C(6)H(10)N(3)O(2) (+)·C(7)H(7)O(3)S(-), the 2-amino-4,6-dimeth-oxy-pyrimidinium cation inter-acts with the sulfonate group of the p-toluene-sulfonate anion via a pair of N-H?O hydrogen bonds, forming a cyclic hydrogen-bonded R(2) (2)(8) motif, which in the crystal is linked by further intemolecular N-H?O hydrogen bonds, forming supra-molecular chains along the c axis. Furthermore, neighboring chains are inter-linked via weak C-H?O hydrogen bonds and C-H?? inter-actions, forming layers.

Project description:In the title compound, C(24)H(30)N(6)O(5), the cyclo-hexyl ring adopts a chair conformation, while the remainder of the mol-ecule adopts a U-shape. The dihedral angles between the pyridine ring and the pendant pyrimidine rings are 69.04?(12) and 75.99?(9)°. The two pyrimidine rings, however, are nearly parallel to one another, with a dihedral angle of 8.56?(15)° between them. They are also involved in an intra-molecular ?-? stacking inter-action with a distance of 3.6627?(18)?Å between the ring centroids. In the crystal, C-H?O contacts link the mol-ecules into chains along the b axis.

In the crystal, cation-anion hydrogen-bonding inter-actions involving pyrim-idine-carb-oxy N(+)-H⋯O and amine-carb-oxy N-H⋯O pairs give a cyclic R 2 (2)(8) motif while secondary N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds between the aniline group and both sulfone and nitro O-atom acceptors give a two-dimensional structure extending in (001).

C-H⋯π inter-actions between the methyl and pyrimidine groups and π-π stacking [centroid-centroid distance = 3.474 (1) Å] between parallel pyrimidine ring systems are also observed.

Project description:The title compound, C(6)H(6)Cl(2)N(4)O(2), was prepared by the nucleophilic substitution of 2,4,6-trichloro-1,3,5-triazine by glycine methyl ester hydro-chloride, and was isolated from the reaction by using flash chromatography. The crystal structure at 150 K reveals the presence two crystallographically independent mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit which differ in the orientation of the pendant methoxy-carbonyl group. Each mol-ecular unit is engaged in strong and highly directional N-H⋯N hydrogen-bonding inter-actions with a symmetry-related mol-ecule, forming supra-molecular dimers which act as the synthons in the crystal packing.
