Bis(melaminium) succinate succinic acid monosolvate dihydrate.

ABSTRACT: The asymmetric unit of the solvated title salt, 2C(3)H(7)N(6) (+)·C(4)H(4)O(4) (2-)·C(4)H(6)O(4)·2H(2)O, contains one essentially planar melaminium (2,4,6-triamino-1,3,5-triazin-1-ium) cation (r.m.s. deviation of the non-H atoms = 0.0097 Å), one-half of a succinate anion, one-half of a succinic acid solvent mol-ecule and one water molecule of crystallization; full mol-ecules are generated by inversion symmetry. Supra-molecular layers parallel to (12-1) are formed through extensive inter-molecular hydrogen bonding of the types O-H⋯O, N-H⋯N and N-H⋯O between the components.

Project description:In the title compound, 2C(3)H(7)N(6) (+)·C(4)H(4)O(6) (2-)·2H(2)O, in which the complete anion is generated by crystallographic twofold symmetry, there are O-H⋯O, N-H⋯O and N-H⋯N hydrogen-bonding inter-actions between neighbouring moieties, forming layers parallel to the bc plane. In addition, π-π contacts [centroid-centroid distance = 3.6541 (9) Å] between the six-membered rings of the melamine cations are observed.

Project description:In the title compound, 2C(4)H(7)N(2) (+)·C(4)H(4)O(4) (2-)·C(4)H(6)O(4), the asymmetric unit consists of two 4-methyl-imidazolium cations, one succinate dianion and one netrual succinic acid mol-ecule and within the latter components, the C-O, C=O and C O bonds are clearly evidenced from their relative distances. In the crystal structure, the individual components are linked by inter-molecular N-H?O, O-H?O and C-H?O hydrogen bonds into a two-dimensional network parallel to the (101) plane in which R(3) (3)(9), R(3) (3)(12) and R(4) (4)(18) hydrogen-bond motifs are present.

Project description:In the title compound, 2C(3)H(5)N(2)S(+)·C(4)H(4)O(4) (2-)·C(4)H(6)O(4), the thia-zolium ring is almost planar, with the maximum deviation from planarity being 0.0056 (8) Å for the C atom carrying the amine substituent. The N atom of the 2-amino-thia-zole mol-ecule is protonated. Both the anion and the acid lie across inversion centres. The crystal packing is consolidated by inter-molecular O-H⋯O, N-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. Mol-ecules are stacked down the b axis.

Project description:The crystal structure of the title salt adduct, 2C6H14N(+)·C4H4O4 (2-)·C4H6O4, consists of two cyclo-hexyl-ammonium cations, one succcinate dianion and one neutral succinic acid mol-ecule. Succinate dianions and succinic acid mol-ecules are self-assembled head-to-tail through O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds and adopt a syn-syn configuration, leading to a strand-like arrangement along [101]. The cyclo-hexyl-ammonium cations have a chair conformation and act as multidentate hydrogen-bond donors linking adjacent strands through inter-molecular N-H⋯O inter-actions to both the succinate and the succinic acid components. This results in two-dimensional supra-molecular layered structures lying parallel to (010).

Project description:In the title compound, C(3)H(7)N(6) (+)·C(7)H(5)O(5) (-)·2H(2)O, the melaminium and benzoate ions are approximately planar (r.m.s. deviation of the non-hydrogen atoms is 0.093 Å) and there is a strong C(2) (2)(8) hydrogen-bonding embrace between them. The centre of symmetry generates a second acid-base pair which is bound to the first by a C(2) (2)(8) (N-H⋯N) embrace common between melamine mol-ecules in similar compounds. Further extensive hydrogen bonding assembles the components into a three-dimensional hydrogen-bonded network.

Project description:In the asymmetric unit of the title compound, C26H17N13O·C2H6OS·2H2O, there is one independent hepta-zine-based main mol-ecule, one dimethyl sulfoxide mol-ecule and two water mol-ecules as solvents. The tri-s-triazine unit is substituted with two dipyridyl amine moieties and a carbonylic O atom. As indicated by the bond lengths in this acid unit of the hepta-zine derivative [C=O = 1.213 (2) Å, while the adjacent C-N(H) bond = 1.405 (2) Å] it is best described by the keto form. The cyameluric nucleus is close to planar (r.m.s. deviation = 0.061 Å) and the pyridine rings are inclined to its mean plane by dihedral angles varying from 47.47 (5) to 70.22 (5)°. The host and guest mol-ecules are connected via N-H⋯O, O-H⋯O and O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds, forming a four-membered inversion dimer-like arrangement enclosing an R 4 (4)(24) ring motif. These arrangements stack along [1-10] with a weak π-π inter-action [inter-centroid distance = 3.8721 (12) Å] involving adjacent pyridine rings. There are also C-H⋯N and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds and C-H⋯π inter-actions present within the host mol-ecule and linking inversion-related mol-ecules, forming a three-dimensional structure.

The Co(II) cations are each coordinated by two N-bonded thio-cyanate anions and four 4-bpe ligands within a slightly distorted CoN6 octa-hedron. The two independent Co(II) cations are linked by the 4-bpe ligands into two distinct layers, parallel to the ac and bc planes, that inter-penetrate. From this arrangement, channels are formed in which non-coordinated 4-bpe and lattice water mol-ecules are hydrogen-bonded into chains that elongate in the c-axis direction.
