ABSTRACT: The title compound, {[NiCl(2)(C(5)H(6)N(2))(C(3)H(7)NO)]·C(3)H(7)NO}(n), is a two-dimensional polymer in which the Ni(II) atom is coordinated by two N atoms from two 3-amino-pyridine ligands, one O atom from a dimethyl-formamide (DMF) group, one terminal Cl and two bridging Cl atoms in a distorted octa-hedral geometry. The Ni(II) atoms are bridged by the 3-amino-pyridine ligands [Ni?N = 6.7048?(3)?Å] and Cl(-) atoms [Ni?N = 3.5698?(3)?Å], forming (4,4) two-dimensional nets. The DMF solvent mol-ecule and the non-bridged Cl(-) ions participate in N-H?O and N-H?Cl hydrogen bonds with the amino groups.

Project description:The title centrosymmetric dinuclear Ni(II) complex, [Ni(C(14)H(8)O(4)S)(C(3)H(7)NO)](n), was prepared via reaction of Ni(NO(3))(2)·6H(2)O and thio-salicylic acid, with H(2)O and dimethyl-formamide (DMF) as the mixed solvent. The coordination geometry of the Hg(II) atom is a distorted tetra-hedron. The dimethyl-formamide mol-ecule is disordered over two positions in a 1:1 ratio, and is linked to the complex mol-ecules via N-H?O hydrogen bonds.

Project description:The reaction of nickel salts and 4,4'-bipyridine with 2,2'-bi-imidazole (H(2)biim) yielded the title complex, [Ni(C(6)H(6)N(4))(3)](NO(3))(2)·C(3)H(7)NO. The Ni(II) atom is chelated by three H(2)biim ligands in a distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry. The two nitrate anions and one dimethyl-formamide (DMF) mol-ecule are not coordinated. The compound has a three-dimensional structure, formed by extensive hydrogen bonding between [Ni(H(2)biim)(3)](2+) cations and nitrate anions, each nitrate anion forming hydrogen bonds with an R(1) (2)(4) motif. The DMF molecule is disordered over three sets of sites, with occupancy ratios of 0.341?(16):0.350?(17):0.309?(19).

In the crystal structure, the picrate anions and solvent dimethyl-formamide (DMF) mol-ecules are connected to the cation via inter-molecular N-H?O hydrogen bonds. Further stabilization is provided by weak inter-molecular C-H?O hydrogen bonds. One of the DMF moleclues is disordered over two sites with refined occupancies of 0.737?(3) and 0.263?(3).

Project description:In the title compound, cis-[PtCl?(NH?)?]·C?H?NO, the metal complex mol-ecules are stacked parallel to the b axis, forming close Pt?Pt inter-actions of 3.4071?(7) and 3.5534?(8)?Å and weak N-H?Cl hydrogen bonds between the ammine ligand and the Cl atoms of the neighboring complex. Project description:The title compound, [CuCl2(C12H12N2)] n , was obtained via a DMSO-mediated dehydration of Cu(4,4'-dimethyl-2,2'-bi-pyridine)-copper(II)·0.25H2O. The central Cu(II) atom is coordinated in a distorted trigonal-bipyramidal geometry by two N atoms of a chelating 4,4'-dimethyl-2,2'-bi-pyridine ligand [average Cu-N = 2.03?(3)?Å] and three Cl atoms, one terminal with a short Cu-Cl bond of 2.2506?(10)?Å, and two symmetry-equivalent and bridging bonds. The bridging Cl atom links the Cu(II) ions into chains parallel to [001] via one medium and one long Cu-Cl bond [2.3320?(10) and 2.5623?(9)?Å]. The structure displays both inter- and intra-molecular C-H?Cl hydrogen bonding.
