Real-time monitoring biomarker expression of carcinoma cells by surface plasmon resonance biosensors.

ABSTRACT: A novel surface plasmon resonance (SPR) biosensor which is capable of monitoring proteomic biomarker secretion from living cells is reported here. Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) secretion from living SKOV-3 ovarian cancer cells was measured for concept demonstration.
