ABSTRACT: In the title compound, [Pt(C17H19N4)Cl], the Pt(II) cation is C,C',C''-chelated by the 1,1'-(5-methyl-1,3-phenyl-ene)bis-(3,5-dimethyl-1H-imidazolyl-idene) anion and coordinated by a Cl(-) anion in a distorted square-planar coordination geometry. ?-? stacking is observed between nearly parallel imidazole and benzene rings of adjacent mol-ecules, the centroid-centroid distance being 3.802?(4)?Å.

Project description:In the title compound, C(20)H(28)N(4) (2+)·2PF(6) (-), the dihedral angles between the benzene ring and the imidazole rings are 70.18 (11) and 69.83 (11)°, while the imidazole rings form a dihedral angle of 40.52 (12)°. In the crystal, weak C-H⋯F inter-actions link the mol-ecules into a two-dimensional network parallel to (001). A π-π inter-action with a centroid-centroid distance of 3.601 (1) Å is also observed in the crystal structure.

Project description:The title compound, [Al(C5H8N2)Cl3], was prepared by a thermolytic decomposition under high-vacuum conditions and presents a formal adduct of an Arduengo carbene, 1,3-dimethyl-1H-imidazol-2-yl-idene, and aluminium trichloride. The Al atom adopts a pseudo-tetra-hedral CCl3 coordination environment. All N and C atoms, the Al atom, one of the Cl atoms, and all aromatic H atoms of the mol-ecule lie on a mirror plane. As a result of the mirror symmetry of the mol-ecule, the H atoms of all methyl groups are disordered between symmetry-equivalent positions.

Project description:In the title compound, [Fe(C11H20N2)2(CO)3], the Fe atom shows a distorted trigonal-bipyramidal geometry with three carbonyl and two carbene ligands. The latter have a cis arrangement, with a C-Fe-C angle of 90.60?(7)°. The Fe atom lies 0.007?(1)?Å above the basal plane defined by two carbonyl and one carbene C atoms. The mol-ecular structure is closely related to that of the isomolecular but not isotypic Ru complex with an identical cis arrangement, so, in general, bond geometries lie in expected ranges. Project description:The cyclo-hexane ring in the title compound, C(21)H(24)N(8), adopts a chair conformation and the five-membered heterocyclic ring to which it is fused adopts a twist conformation on their common C-C bond. The substituents on the N atoms of the central five-membered heterocycle are arranged trans with respect to the central ring. The terminal benzotriazole rings are oriented at angles of 74.66?(8) and 84.18?(8)° with respect to the mean plane of the central heterocycle. The angle between the two benzotriazole rings is 30.80?(9)°. The bond lengths and angles are within normal ranges; the largest deviation from expecta-tion is for a long N-CH(2) bond length [1.476?(2)?Å] as a consequence of an anomeric effect. In the crystal, mol-ecules are connected by C-H?N hydrogen bonds.

Project description:The title structure, (C(11)H(20)BrN(2))[Ag(CN)(2))], is built up from an approximately C(2v)-symmetric imidazolium cation and a nearly linear dicyanidoargentate anion [N-Ag-N = 176.6?(9)° and Ag-C-N = 178.8?(9) and 177.2?(11)°]. These two constituents are linked by a remarkably short inter-action between the Br atom of the imidazolium cation [C-Br = 1.85?(3)?Å] and one N atom of the cyanidoargentate anion [Br?N = 2.96?(2)?Å], which is much less than the sum of the van der Waals radii (3.40?Å). The crystal studied was twinned by merohedry.

Project description:The whole mol-ecule of the title compound, C(20)H(18)N(4)O(4), is generated by an inversion center. The benzimidazole ring mean plane make a dihedral angle of 89.4 (8)° with the plane passing through the acetate group (COO). In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked via weak C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds and π-π inter-actions [centroid-centroid distance = 3.743 (3) Å] involving inversion-related benzimidazole groups.
