Endoplasmic reticulum stress has been linked to insulin resistance in multiple tissues but the role of endoplasmic reticulum stress in skeletal muscle has not been explored. Endoplasmic reticulum stress has been reported to increase tribbles 3 expression in multiple cell lines.
