The core-inversible micelles for hydrophilic drug delivery.

ABSTRACT: A unique core-inversible micelle (CIM) was formed via PEG(5k)CA8 for hydrophilic drug delivery. An amyloid-fibril-inhibiting water-soluble molecule, congo red (CR), has been loaded into the hydrophilic core of CIMs. The targeting folate-CIMs significantly enhanced the intracellular delivery of hydrophilic CR in a folate receptor-expressing cell line.
